Guest | Well, here is my first terrain. It could use a bit of work, and I'd like to hear some comments and crits on it. It's basically a church in the woods were all the wood-cuting peasants come to church on Sundays. The wooden thing behind the priest is supposed to be an alter of sorts :\. Thanks in advance, -Sh4d0w |

First impressions... WOW.. --Upon closer examination however, I feel it needs more work, for example, there is a distinct lack of windows, and I presume it is supposed to be a church constructed from stone? If so the wooden entrance is out of place. Perhaps replace with, or use, stone columns or the like. --Inside: It is very plain, though it is hard to produce innovative ideas and use available materials to construct a more church feel or at least a variation from the plain walls, but I can't blame you, it can't be helped. --Outside: You could use more radical terrain height variation, and a larger, more appropriate path leading up to the church. Perhaps have neighbouring houses too, either in the foreground or background and more units in and around the church. More variation in wildlife and plant variety too, you are in the woods after all, and finally congratulatory marks on the roof. Hope all that helps in one way or another.. and good luck with future terraining!! |

Guest | Well I made the walls of the church out of 'Low walls' from Cityscape (I just piled them ontop of eachother, and the corners are 'End wall Tall' or something like that stacked ontop of eachother). The roof is 2 low walls, one turned upside and stretched down for the ceiling and one just stretched for the roof. And I was going to do windows but it slipped my mind lol. I'll fix it up to you're recommendations and come back with some pics of the results. |

Guest | Alright here they are. I raised the ground to rediculous hights and found it to look half-way decent. I added some wildlife, a cottage, and a wedding inside the church. That all looks pretty good too. Finnaly I added windows, one on the east side and one on the west. And I think they are the best addition, followed closly by the wedding. -Sh4d0w |

Im loving it dude :) the window is amazing :) now to some ciritcs: the outside seems a little dull.. tho I like the forest. the church is too cubic. Churches tend to have towers and a non flat roof.. or at least.. beautifull churches have that :). would be cool if you could make that. gj :) *tries to rep, fails, coz he has send to much rep 2day :/* |

I think it looks great the second time through it. Although, while congrats on a roof, I don't like how shiny the roof looks when compared to the rest of the sights. Neat idea though, using low walls. |

Guest | Ugh after an hour of brainstorming I cannot think of a way to make towers without totally screwing up the rest of the church, or without completly redoing it. As for the roof, I tried everything I knew how to and it just isn't going to happen... Well I g2g severe thunderstorms are heading my way and I don't want my computer fried.. God I feel horible. -Sh4d0w |

Another thing about churches and many buildings - the roof wouldn't be flat, it would probably be at an angle. |

Ok I have decided that my church is a cubic, ugly, shiny, flat-roofed building in the middle of a plain and dull forest. There is also a wedding. -Sh4d0w P.S. I may revisit a church in the future (near or distant, the stars won't tell me) but until then this is my church. |
