i like doing these collage type sketches where you just fill up space next to drawings and stuff. it's fun. maybe i shouldn't have used the 4b though. it smudged some.

Watch out for poportions. Some of these guys look like midgets.

I find the arm on the foremost torso to be disturbingly thin. There are a few other issues here and there, like anatomy and proportion, but everything looks fairly solid as a whole.

One thing I noticed is that your range of greys is quite limitted. Your darks need to be darker for added contrast, and a few more intermediary tones in the picture would help things to look more volumetric. Although, I would say having more contrast in this case is a more pressing issue.

Otherwise, nice stuff. It's more difficult to effectively criticize a sketch compared to a finished work, except to offer generalized advice. Out of curiosity, how long did you spend on this page?

thanks for the pointers. about the time spent, i'd say about an hour, hour and a half, around there.
