Sashi's jump ability (Wind) in ToB is the best jump spell in the world. 2 things make it different from any other jump spell posted here (even though they may look similar) 1; When the hero begins jumping, he does not pause for a tenth of a second - he can begin the spell instantly as he is running or even if he is not facing the targeted direction. Compared to the other spells, the hero must pause, then turn to the direction they were ordered to target or if they were running, they must pause then begin the spell. The difference seems slight but it is NOT!, This one is much more responsive (and cool)! 2; The phoenix missile effect attachment does not explode when the spell ends - it just disappears. How did the creator skip the SE death animation and how do you do what is explained in -1? Also, does anyone know how the Warden spell Fan of Knives was made? I don't think it was made using dummy units around the Warden Note; Compare thee spells yourself! The ToB one is vastly superior! But how!? |

Correct me if im wrong..but bladestorm perhaps? All you do is give it a different animation, that'd work ...I think. |

Nonono, in the spell, about 15 knives spin around the warden each with their own path. It periodic events were used in conjunction with moving several dummy units then the spell would probaly be pretty laggy (which it isn't). Bladestorm couldn't have been used for this. |

well duh it's a blizzard spell, hardcoded into the game, it has no such restrictions as GUI and JASS do... |

Firstly, do you even know what spell I'm referring to? It's not a Blizzard spell. |

He's saying that its A blizzard spell as in BLIZZARD made the spell as in IT'S HARDCODED. Not Blizzard the spell... |

...I understand that, besides - how could the spell possibly be based off of blizzard (the spell not the COMPANY just to CLEAR any CONFUSION). The spell is trigger based - that I am sure of. The spell is NOT hardcoded. Please, take a look at the spell. Neither of you seem to know what I'm talking about. |

And you don't seem to know what they think they know you are talking about. Just to clarify, there is a Warden hero in original Warcraft:TFT. It has a spell named Fan of Knives, which, as you can guess, is not triggered at all. I suppose you are reffering to a different spell on a different hero in a custom map. |

Posting a link to the map would have helped. My bets: - They used another unit for the jumping (kind of lame) Because of that, the reaction is faster, and when they remove the unit, the death animation of the phoenix fire effect doesn't show up. For fan of knives, please explain, I don't really understand what that spell does. Quote:

I still don't know what the heck the abilities do. Clarification anyone? Well, the difference between a hero beginning a spell instantly and a hero waiting before beginning the spell is the difference between Unit begins casting an ability and Unit finishes casting an ability. For fan of knives, I can't think of it doing anything but what the fan of knives in the blizzard spell already does. |

Sashi's jump uses a custom model that looks a lot prettier and doesn't have an exploding death animation like the Phoenix's missile. The Warden's "Fan of Knives"(which they called Blade Barrier) effect was made using a custom model of the blades spinning around. They just added it onto a custom Immolation spell and created a trigger that ordered the unit to automatically deactivate the spell 15 seconds after it was cast. |
