Guest | Write a tutorial we need more tutorials! I like everything on the very last one except its nose but it is still awesome. Oh and my ps eventually stops after I press cntrl+z enough I need to do it an unlimited amount of times. |

I have my finger on the alt key to mix colors and can't be arsed to drag them to the other ones, so my history state window gets a visit oftentimes. But indeed, undo is a one-time deal, whereas going back into the history is a far more powerful and comprehensive method. If your scratch disk has enough space and your CPU and RAM are nothing to scoff at, you can go to edit>preferences>general and increase the number of history states photoshop maintains, as they fall off the end as they get overwritten. You can put a bookmark of sorts on certain history states if you want it to be a safe haven which you can go back to if you feel you might cross the point of no return. About the doodles, I think the second one is stronger as well. Her facial structure gives her a certain aesthetic ethnicity. I have so much more fun when I start on a midtone and get to add the highlights as well as the shadows. Gives me more of a sculptists feeling than working in only shadows on a sheet of blank white. Not much for me to criticize here. The nose seems misproportionately large and her forehead to recede a little too much (even given the perspective), but following a canon isn't true to life either. |

mid tones, then add lights and shadow....brilliant!. So simple, yet effective. I personally like blocking in crap, because it gives most relief. Savage: ha im not pro enough to be giving tuts. I just block in roughly, light halftone shadow gogo! quick and dirty..just how I like my sex. Then I spend most of the time refining and molding shapes. you can take look at these tuts. I like their approach.. http://www.mattiassnygg.com/tutorials/tut1.htm http://www.simplestroke.com/workshop.html |
