Im not positive how this is run, whether by skin, model, game constant, trigger, or simply somthing that cannot be altered. My question is; is it possible to block a spell from being cast through an area. Such as Terrain Boundrays. They block the path of units movemnt, but is it possible to make somthing similar that wont let spells, such as Carrian Swarm to be cast through them. (The spell effect may pass through the boundary, but the damage delt cannot.) |

You can set maximum damage on spells like shockwave or carrion swarm. They will not deal anymore damage once they reach their maximum. All you need to do afterwards is place some neutral hostile units that can't attack or move, and that can't be attacked normaly, but they do recieve damage from spells. These units could then be your damage blockers. I'm not certain it will work 100%, try it. |

One step ahead of you there. I already tried this, however the result is explained here: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthre...751#post726751 Any other posibilities? |

some spells like immolation wont do damage to friendly units even if u set the targets allowed to friendly, it might be hard coded that the spell cannot effect debris. |

Alright. Is it possible to make units unselectable but still take damage? (Locus for example removes selection, but also gives invulnerablility.) |

Tim, you won't need to, just set the selection scale to .10 and the model will cover the circle, since we made 0.01 secs to select a unit of hidden view, then no one would be the wiser. |

Yeah I know Joe, im just curious if its possible or not. Come ot think of it, Joe, do you remember what we did with the negative selection scale before? |

The negative selection scale removed the Life Bars, in which case has nothing to do with the Selection scale size. |

Hmm. In that case I would have to make all the obstacles cast 'Transform' at map start. Lag up the wazzoo..Neverthless that sounds promising. Quote:
Are you sure? I dont recall if the selection circle still appeared. |
