What does the site need to improve?

Small question, where do you think the site is lacking to this point? I actually made this poll because I am tired of that World of Warcraft one.

Poll is multiple choice and votes are public by the way. Avoid to vote on more than 3 options

To put it simple, more modders. All the rest is secondary.

I voted other, the site doesn't need more hosted projects, it needs more active ones. The current ones are moving very slugishly along and are in turn very boring to try watch finish. Getting rid of the stockmarket would help too =)

JetPack, just beacuse you don't like the stockmarket doesn't mean that everyone's will is autmatically bent to yours. Jeez. (that is, if you were serious, I can't tell.)

Better hosted projects are definitely needed, though.

Also, this place needs some more interesting characters. Wormskull and RightField is all there is now. Of course, not much can be done about that.

Yep... this forum has turned me from a neutral guy to someone who flames on whim. I really gotta get outta here.

More tutorials - this is partially my fault, me being the tutorial section moderator...

Changes to the Staff - self explainatory... not necesarily new staff or replacements, but more disciplined. if we could enforce staff discipline, we'd be better off.

Better user ranking system - people spam rep like theres no tommorow nowadays... i cant think of a plausible solution to that now, but theres defenitly something wrong with it. i mean, i have 7 bars of green and havent done anything for months... literally.

Other - make it more noob friendly. we shouldnt be screaming threats at every noob who doesnt post in the right section. if people were friendlier, we wouldnt scare off as many potential contributors.

thats what i have to say...

EDIT: i feel sorry for anyone who votes for the 'This site is perfect' choice, on accident or on purpose...

More prizes in the stockmarket and faster mod completion...

Yep Yep. Thats is a very big thing. But...

I voted for the tutorials. If we had more and more tutorials that were of decent quality then the noobs would learn at a faster rate.

Video tutorials would totally own, infact i'm in the process of making one. Screen Capture is a wonderful thing, http://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp
Download a free trial if you are interested in that.

I made a tutorial, Ultimate newb Mapping to be exact! But the problem is, no newbs are good enough to find it =[. I would be happy to put more things onto my tut, if it would simply be easier to access to thew new people who dont know much about mapping. I try to include all of the issues i had when first mapping!

Moderators who don't get in flame wars with the forumgoers.

Two people out of fourty-nine.

Now that I look back over it, I wont deny that changes in the staff is also a good choice. I don't really have to mention any names, but certain staff members seem to be driving out long time posters in hordes...

yeah I gotta say changes in staff, site-exclusive resources are not nessecary, since we have sorta a partnership with wc3sear...

more hosted projects of course, the more there are, the more the chance of one finishing

more tutorials, not really, what we need are ppl who are determined enough to open up the world editor, or 3ds max or something and say "I'm gonna find out how to do this, if it killls me." and when it finally does, then they ask for help. Ppl who find out this way, learn more and become more of an asset to our community, not to mention the tuts aren't very useful, I really didn't look at any tuts, when I was learning (well I still am learning)

better user ranking system, yes, but I don't want to lose all my rep :P
