WT 48: Desert Oasis

The dry wastes only broken by the blooming oasis. These places are full of life and in great contrast to the wasteland surrounding it.

Portray these green and lush places found in the desert landscape.

No need for a longer story on this subject.

Good luck

I might take a go at it as well, it's been some time since I participated in these.

Aye, here's something. I like the background, but the foreground sucks. I'll have to rework that later.

good job, keep up the good work guys.

Fanatic Templar:

a little more variation in the water (seaweed and such) would help and as you pointed out a bit work on the foreground.
And a good thing would be to try and make it seem unending in the background.

Divine_peon:

it looks good but isn't that more like a rainforest kinda theme?

but still good work.

Hey all,

I'm new round here, although I have been a member for a long time, just not doing anything :). Some of you may know me from my melees, which I submit to Maps'n'Mods. This is completely out of my comfort zone, but I had a stab anyways :P

I've had a stab at this weeks terraining after being convinced by Warnicro to go in it (ie. he showed me this site, and I couldn't help myself :P)

here is what i have so far from 45mins work - these were a bunch of beta screenshots, but they are going to have to be final as I just realised I shut down the WE before I saved it. So here they are...

[Teel us what you think - I tried to make it as natural as possible, with the reminants of a human camp, the dunes, and a sacred site; I also made it at dusk, because a) it looks so much cooler, and b) less work on the dune plain, because most of it is in shadow :P
