Originality and a good story line go hand in hand. RPG's now a days never do either of these well. Cliche story and gameplay, yet morons still play them. This thread seems really familar... |

Maps need less Custom models , less custom skins and less custom icons. Get what I am saying, people latelly focus too much on artistic stuff that is not noticeable on a real game, and forget gameplay. |

i voted more quests, playable land, new battle systems and others, others mean a good and believable story, easter eggs, balanced and enjoyable heroes, relaxing terrain, etc. etc. :D |

The main things a good RPG really needs in my opinion are a good, detailed plot-line, and a fluent gameplay system. |

Hmmm... this thread is VERY familiar.... Anyways, I voted for other and gameplay. Other becuase I'm not really sure if gameplay is considered story. Gameplay becuase people want the RPG to run smooth, and not laggy. Not items, with all the items practically doing the same thing, what is the point in having more? Not quests, makes the game too laggy. Not more land, just gives more time to be bored and more time to do quests. :P Not new system, becuase you have to be kind of unique in that category, which is hard. Need I say more? :P |

Any RPG needs lots of items, being different combinations of stats, and should do a lot of things |

The only thing RPGs need more of is less noobs trying to make one, especially ones that have to ask others how to make it good. |

For me the most important is a good, detailed and believable story. If you are making a campaign the characters should have background stories. I think that the quest should help you understand the land and the story. Don't put to many items, items need to be rare to find so the player will appreciate them. The terrain have to be natural and fun. |
