Some of these tutorials will probbly work for Gmax also, but some of the future tutorials I'm not sure. You might neee a codec to play the vidoes, get it here: http://www.techsmith.com/products/st...ecdownload.asp 3DS Max Modelling Basics Oh and i forgot to tell you how to move around in the viewports. If you really want to be good at 3dsmax a 3 button mouse will save you hours and hours of time. To Pan in a viewport just click and hold with the middle button. to rotate hold alt and click and drag with middle button. To zoom use the middle mouse wheel to zoom in and out Video: http://www.geocities.com/wc3cbmpart1/index.htm Rigging a Model for Animation Alright I made another one of these videos. This one only has one part and goes by pretty fast, but dont worry you can always watch it again, or rewind it and re-watch a part you missed. Video: http://www.geocities.com/wc3crig/index.htm Animating a Model Yay we are just about finished with our tank model, but now all that is left is to make it move around, attack, stand around, and most importantly have an awesome death animation!!! Ok, so its not that exciting but what ever. Video: http://www.angelfire.com/ultra2/anim...rial/index.htm Working With Team Color Alright so I made another one of these videos just for all of you guys. I must say I'm getting better and better at them. Anyway this thing will teach you how to make a team color on your skin. And then apply it to your 3D model in 3DS Max. Video: http://www.geocities.com/wc3ctc1/index.htm Adding Attachment Points Alright, I made another tutorial, but you may have noticed that it isnt being hosted by geocities.... thats cuase angelfire has 5 more mb's of web space and i can upload files of any size. anyway you'll learn how to make attachment points for your model. enjoy! Video: http://www.angelfire.com/ultra2/atta...ints/index.htm Custom Pathing Maps Yay! yet another video tutorial. I know you guys are probbly sick of my 3d tutorials SO!!!!! I made a tutorial about making custom pathing maps. Its VERY simple, so simple I bet it could even be done in MS paint. One thing I forgot to say in this tutorial is that you don't need to make squares for the image size. it can be like 4 x 31 pixels is you wanted. I'll post the 3 colors I used in the tutorial. Here are the 3 colors i used: ![]() Video: http://www.angelfire.com/ultra2/cust...athingMaps.htm |
