Is this possible, or am I stuck with the two top and bottom blocks? [Please note: When I say remove, I mean remove. Alpha transparency 0. Nada. Not there.] |

Somone did find a way to do this. It was either replacing the border skin with one thats all alphaed out or replacing the model with one thats not there. I can't remember the specifics. |

Guest | I think that's the worst thing with Wc3 cinematics, those anoyying screnes! The best idea I can find is to make them black! Bacon to tha people! ////SERUK//// |

No thats the way wc3 is, you cannot remove the cinematic border. You would probably have to actually mess with the coding of the game to do anything with it. |

What would happen if you opened the black border in PS and made it transperent? Would it make it see though or not? I might try it when I get home. |

after playing around with a whole bunch of files, including the framedef for cinematics, i have decided that there is no easy way to do this. It may be possible with heavy game-changing coding to do it, but not easily. As the reason your black borders are there is that the cinematic border is, in fact, not there. Its alphaed out, however because the game is designed to have a UI there at all times, it doesn't actually render the stuff hidden by it, the black is there because the "game screen" as it were, does not extend down that far. Think of it this way, your' looking at a movie screen with the projector projecting an image in-between some UI panels. If you remove the UI panels, the projectors image doesn't get any bigger, and so where the panels were is just black, not because its painted black, but because theres nothing being projected (rendered) there. Thats whats happening. Possibly by playing with the FrameDef you could change the size of the image, but i'm not sure. |

It seems like I won't be doing this. Damned lazy Blizzard coders *shakes fist* |

Well, in the worl of cinematic there are the most edges to in what you cannot do, extending borders is one of them, though I manged to make one, while I was decoding the editor, the only problem I had afterwards is that my editor failed when I restarted my computer, so advisable that you do not mess with the editor itself, and surely not to extend borders... greets /Warnicro/ |
