Hey, I've got a question

Do you participate in lessons like that, i mean art lessons, drawing or painting practicing or you learn by your own?

I don't take drawing courses. And i think I'll never do. Drawing is just a hobby... and I don't draw that much. And don't even need to be good : it's just a hobby... so why would I take art courses?

Yeah I take it as a hobby to, but.... their are sometimes when i get really inspired, like when i see something new... then i get all serious and shit. But most of the time its in hobby mode, because there is really nothing new anymore.

I learned on my own. Most of time i just learn by doing and trying things out. Trial and error. I dont like online tuturiols by artists ( unless its done by a professional... a really good pro) because I don't trust them. Who knows you could pick up their mistakes and form bad habbits.

most plp going to say to learn and get better draw alot, but I think I improved the most when I drew less. Funny how that works huh.

Before i use to just draw alot of quick mindless doodles and I still do sometimes.

But when i slowed down and actully thought about what the heck im doing...Thats when i started um drawing, and not pooping.

Everybody different some plp need that extra push and some need to slow down.

I meant real courses and books, not internet. How long are you drawing? What a pity, I didn't draw when I was much younger ;/

Ive never taken art courses or anything but I intend to. Over the last year, I have improved extremely, from the crap I was posting on here a long time ago, to the stuff I post today. By no means, am I any good, but im decent enough for myself to just keep going. Now I have 4 years to improve before I go to a university, and I plan on improving enough to go an art college. The thing is, I cant do anything besides art, because its really the only thing I think about. Whenever I go outside I look for new hairstyles, the shape of people's eyes, the way they walk, the shape of a car, the shape of the clouds and stains on the floor. Thats pretty much how I learn in art. At first I just drew portraits, but realised they werent improving, so I began to simplify them to the point where now I know how to start any portrait. Thats how I learned the most, and are the best tools in art.
Learning from experience, and as Kimchi said, trial and error.
