-Ship looks neat but the whole piece needs more atmosphere you should check out Sparth. Or did you already since this seems vaguely familiar to his style of stuff. Well use him more as reference. -The face perspective is wrong... eye, ear? That smudge background looks nice. -Warden + ORC!! School's out for me so I'll be working on that challenge pic. I tell ya painting is a really load of crap for me. It takes me hours to make low quality stuff, the challenge is making me discover some new things so that's always nice but making the pic is a pain. I'll try to finish whenever you finish yours or the deadline we set. :D |

Yep, my painting is inspired by Sparth's artworks... Actually, it's not an orcish warden, it's a wow-armored orc. About that challenge, I haven't started yet... and i must say I have no idea about how to draw chicks. But we'll see, I trust myself. Good luck!! :D |

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!! IT IS STUFF! the thing that bothers me about the ships is the color of the terrain. the color of it stands out in an uncomfortable way. |

I think a bit too much thought was put forth in imitating sparth. You got the sketchiness in the background, but none of the textures or form. The sky is far too similiar to the energy crap on the ship. Also, the background, the "mountains" are clearly painted on a white background on low opacity. This makes the white shine through, and the entire thing looks washed out. |

Yea... u suck at drawing women... I suck at painting... fair game :p About that painting. By mood I meant a overall dominant color. So look up some more sparth. I suggest you check out el Coro. He's not my favorite but he explains the use of textures. To achieve what they do you'll need some preparation such as multiple texture image files that you'll use when ever you paint accordingly to the situation. Sparth and El Coro have tuts on their sites, just look around. (They're not really tuts but explanation pics). The back armor of the orc made it warden-ish. Anyho. I'll be drawing a picture... traditionnal style... good ol blue pencil and inking :D then I'll try to get back to the digital painting stuff... eeesh SCHOOL'S OUT BABIES! |

Hell yah, el coro is bad ASS. He started out with graffiti so he does know his stuff about making textures out of more basic stuff. Plus his inkwash painted stuff kicks ass. |

Guest | Ya, background is too dull. The background affects a lot of how the painting looks. The lighting is amazing though. That girl looks good, but I just plain don't like her. I like the background you did on that girl...its very...interesting... You should try and photoshop those works to better improve them. The choas orc knight dude looks kinda wierd...I thnk its the porportions. |
