Who knows what's wrong with those eyes?
Face training and lightning experiment (the power of shadows... hehe) ps 7, no refs, about 2 hours.

Eyes are not actualy that shape, most people start off with simply drawing an almond shape since it is an immediate assumption for all people, and makes it flat. You have to get out of that slowly by making your eyes, not just the shape of eyes, but think of it as actually a sphere with the eyelids as skin that is wrapped around it.

pretty sure everyone knows that the eyeball is in fact a ball (sphere)

just darken up the edges of the eyelids where they meet the eyeballs and it should be fine

Yet another face training. About 3-4 hours, ps 7 and wacom, refs for the nose and the ear, no refs for the rest. The ear is too small, I think.

Certianly someone may know that the eyeball is in fact a sphere, but regardless people still draw eyes almond shaped on instinct. Thinking of something as a sphere and drawing it is slightly diffrent then just knowing it in real life, when you understand the shapes you can define form without any need of shading. Its hard to explain but when you start practicing it, its pretty easy to understand.

People don't have totally black eyes.

There are some people with black iris, I've heard, it's just very rare (and I mean very).

I think I know the trouble with the first face. The eye's kind of "tilted" the wrong way - it's not in alignment with the surface of the face, but slightly in the other direction. It might be a little far from the nose, as well, not sure on that one.

i actually kinda like it. It looks like a human character from WoW.. one of the bald white guys. what can i say... WoW as taken its toll on me.

his right eye is slanted downwards a bit, but besides that, theres no major major flaw. Keep drawing man.. you getting better
