New Campaign - The Winds Of War

The Winds Of War sees you control a single Druid of the Talon over 5 long missions. You control him in a 3rd person view over his head using your keyboard (In a similair fashion to the FPS mod) and attacking with a small choice of spells that you aim at your enemies and which they can, of course dodge. As can you thier attacks.

The idea is to create a game similair to a 3rd person action adventure such as Tomb Raider.

However, your druid can also shapeshift into Storm Crow form, and fly upon the winds of war:) The movement for this will be similair, except fligth up and down will be supported, for battles in a 3 dimensions.

The campaign will also feature 4 deathamtch maps, where multiple characters are availible.

Positions availible for this campaign include:

Terrainers
A Spell editor
Someone with ideas about how something like this could be made even more interesting.

Later on:
Voice actors

I will do most of the trigering myself, but may need advice on the best way to do some of the advanced ones.

Sounds interesting. If you complete it and need voice actors, give SAVAGE a try-

I've decided to carry on my previous exp system into this game.
Your character doesn't go up levels. As he kills enemies he gains "gold" - experiance. Pressing Esc will pull open a dialouge menu from which you trade certian amounts of experiance for statistics you want. This makes your character much more customisable and, in my view, fun to play rather than the bog standard lights that happen every 5 minutes or so. This also enables you to play the character you want to play, do ou want to play as a tank who does lots of damage and can suck it up as well? or are you interested in learning powerful spell abilities and increasing your mana reserves? Many other options are availible. You can win by fighting outright, strategically spell casting, using stealth to outwit you opponents, lure them into deadly traps or maybe you wish to takje to the skies and empahise your mobility and power up there. The game does not have to be completed in any one way and replaying it, putting in different skills, will change the way you play the game bring a wealth of new challenges.

I also instend to have 6 missions now, and at the end of mission 2 you have an either or objective that will change the game for the rest of it, because mission 3,4 and 5 are doubled up - there are two mission 3s, two mission 4s and two 5s. missions 6 will be on the same map, whatever path you take to get there, but the path you take will determine everything on that map. Other small choices yo make in maps will affect the next one and i think, despite the fact that you can finish the campaign by playing only 6 maps, you can replay it to unlock around 25 different scenarios. And all these can be playe differently depending on the character. With the addition of fully customisable multiplayer, my chief concern with this campaign is not only creating a new and different type of game, but creating one that has longevity.

I am decent with terrains, and I can edit spells to a moderate degree. I am very good with fairly complex triggers, if you end up needing help with them, and can skin models to a decent extent.

If you need any of that, e-mail me at [email protected]

Edit: Oh yeah, I am pretty sure I could edit the "border screen" and change it from gaining gold to gaining XP or something. I could also customize the whole entire border, like maybe a modded Night Elf border.
