hm, cinimatic mode not on? |
| 12-16-2002, 04:21 PM | #3 |
Guest | Does it need to be? I mean, if it's not on, it usually just sends a message in the bottom-left screen? |

Make sure that the subtitles box is checked in the game options. Press F10 and then select options. Then select...well, I can't remember but game or something. One of the options will have a subtitles check box. If this box isn't checked then cinimatic transmissions not done in cinimatic mode won't show up. |

Replace the transmissions part with Game - Text message -Insaniteus- |

Cinematic messages CAN be sent without cinematic mode being on too! |

They can, but you won't be able to see them unless "subtitles" are enabled. |

True, but who wouldn't have subtitles on?!? ;) |

Well, KeMo might not. He tried to play a cinematic but got no text. If he wasn't in cinimatic mode and didn't have subtitles checked then this may be his problem. |

Why would Blizzard even make a subtitles option? Oh well... |
| 12-22-2002, 03:55 AM | #11 |
Well, if you have the subtitles on when you watch the blizzard movies while playing the campaign then you get really lame looking subtitles. I turned them off while I played the campaign. Aside from that, your right. There is no need for a yes or no subtitle box. |

Guest | I've got subtitles on, and other cinematics work. It's only this If/then/else trigger that won't show the cinematics! My problem could be solved bby making more triggers. The function of the trigger in my map is to give a message to the players, about their current quest. So i could make multipe triggers like player enters region quest something is completed send cinematic... But it would be alot easier if the If/then/else trigger would work. Save alot of work in my current and future maps. |
