Alright, I have started a new project. The idea came to me, when I was play a survival. Story: Atop a hill lies the last fortification into the orc city. Many different enemies need this city to their advantage, but the orcs currently hold it. Hundreds, if not thousands of units lie in wait, to assult this city. Humans, Night Elf, Undead, and even the Creeps want this advantageous city. It is now up to you to defend this prime city, and keep these invaders from destroying the only powerhold the orcs have left. Can you hold off these attackers? Basics: Choose from a variety of orc heroes, ranging from heavy melee heroes, magic casters, and ranged defenders. Each hero has their own unique abilities, making all heroes worth picking. Basic Gameplay: Each round 10-15 enemies will spawn, and try to destroy the lever which controls the opening of the great gate. If they succeed in doing so, the massive gate will open, which will allow them access to the city. Your team will have to stop them at all costs from entering the city, through the gate. If one unit enters the gate, it is game over. This lever can be repaired over time though. In order to repair this lever, you must hire a peon. Once hired, this peon will automatically begin to repair the lever. Once fully repaired the peon will then return, and await to be hired once more. This peon can be killed in action. Hire mercenaries from a different faction (race) in order to help you fight off these invaders. These mercenaries won't be cheap, but once owned will give you an advantage. Many different items to choose from, in order to aid you. Items can help your hero become stronger, help your entire team, and some items will actually harm the opponents that challenge you. Information: The difference between this project, and some of the other survivals I have seen, is that you can save/load your character and use him to fight off your enemies next game. Max hero level is still undecided (suggestions open for discussion). Choose from several different difficulties, ranging from: New Characters (If you create a new character, start this difficulty) Easy (For heroes from level 10-20) Normal (For heroes from level 21-40) Hard (For heroes from level 41-65) If the players choose the difficulty "New Character", there will be no loading at all allowed. I will have a penelty system for anyone who does load a high level character in a easy level difficulty. Not only will they gain little experience, but they will have high level modifiers, which will decrease their damage depending on their level, and decrease their attack speed depending on their level. This modifier will be harsher the higher the level the hero, to the difficulty. So say if we had a level 50-60 play "easy" mode, his heroes attacks will do 50-60% less damage, and he will attack 50-60% slower. I will also make it quiet clear to the player that loading such a high level character on such a low level difficulty will come at its price. This will discourage players (hopefully) in to not playing with such high level heroes, on easy difficulties. High level heroes have high HP, and thus could be used as a tank and take all the damage. I want to make a modifier for this as well, but it is open for discussion. So what I am thinking is when you create the game, and allow players to enter, you make the game name something like (10-20)... so players know that level 10-20 heroes are to be played. Hopefully, this modifier solution will solve the problem of high level heroes taking all the low level kills, and keep it fun for all players, high level or low. Additional Information: Tons of secrets to unlock, some include secret difficulties, awesome weapons, and possibly cool mercenaries. Possible different modes of play, for more enjoyment. I gave you the basics of the game. If you want more detail, please post here and tell me, and I will post more as soon as possible. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any help would be greatly appriciated, weither it be comments, suggestions, or a simple "Hi Azhag, great idea!" ~Azhag~ |

Guest | So its like a Castle Defence? |

Kinda yes. The mercenaries will be expensive, so you won't have many of them. It is mostly relied on the heroes more then the units. There will also be a couple modes of play, and I will provide you with two. Standard Mode or Defence Mode: Like Castle defence but relying on the heroes. Assult Mode: Attack an ememy base and conquer it. |

Rep given, Good idea A. Maybe you should make one team the Assulters and another team the Defenders, but then it would be to AoS o_O right? |

Thanks for the comments. No the assult will be on a computer player. There is three computer players, one for each race (other than orc). You use the heroes, and mercenaries, to assult a stronghold. Defeat the enemy to win. Just like standard mode, you can choose the difficulty, and load/save your hero. |

Then why did you make two mods? (Assault and Standard mode) |

In the beginning of the game, players get to vote on weither they play Assult mode, or Standard Mode (Defence Mode)... It's like different game types, that still use the save/load system. That is only two of the modes, that I have told so far. |

Anyone interested in helping me with this project? |

Maybe I can help with triggering, and I'm doing a item system 9 slots, that first for save/load codes with different eqipument slot for different hero types. If not Setreal gives me to much work. |
