I can't, for the life of me, figure out how do you setup one start location for a team. Like the way they have it on Warchasers. I know I can just stack all the player start locations on top of one another, but that always cause my computer to slow down and lag crazy when I'm editing. --- --- --- Anyone like the new blizzard forums? |

Guest | Unfortunatly WE won't let you have a user player without the start location. I think a good way not to lag your computer is to spread out the start locations. The units you place don't need to be on the location, they just need one anywhere on the map. |

Simple solution: Put the start locations down last. Better solution: Get a better PC. DUH! ![]() |

FYI I have a decent computer, bought it in January. It just lags everytime I pass over the stacked Start Locations, something with the animation overlapping slows the rest of WE down. As for spreading the start locations, I kind of want everyone to be viewing the same spot when the game starts. As I stated, similar to WarChasers or Hero Arena. There has to be a way to get 1 start location that represents multiple players. |

Well, make a camera over where you want everybody to look at and apply the camera for all players in map initialization. -Insaniteus- |

it isnt really a BIG problem, you just need to spread the locations and put all the units together in one place, and like what insaniteus said, just add a Pan Camera trigger. |

Guest | Since you want it like Warchasers, I'm going to assume its an RPG like map. One thing you could do is spread them out in an area, and make a short cinematic detailing the background, and after the cine, lock the camera on the units. As for you computer, I have a 1.7 ghz Pentium 4, 512 RAM and I still lag when lots of start locations are stacked, but reinstalling should help speed it up for a while. |

Or even if you dont want a cinematic just spread them all over and put a region where you want everyone to view, then center the screen over it. |
