Starcraft II: Descendance

I am making a new mod called 'Starcraft II: Descendance.' It's going to be completely redone; nothing is going to be kept at all. I am planning on adding a new race or two, some radical gameplay enhancements, and multiplayer capabilities.

Starcraft's a great game, and so is WC3, so I figure I'll take the best from both and add my own genius. Picture this: Terran mutated cat hybrids swatting zerglings and Arbitors providing shield cover for a fleet of sleek looking Protoss ships. Man, it gets me hot just thinking about it.

So if you want to be a part, post in thread or drop me a line at [email protected]. Or add the same to your MSN list. I can use any help, as long as you're serious

Don't be silly. I did read them.
What do you mean, "This is never going to happen"? I've already started. I don't need help, it would just speed up the process. Please, think a little.

Who is going to do the models? What people do you need help from? What is the story? If you had of read the FAQ all of this would have been in the thread.

Thanks for bringing that up. I was thinking I'd do the models, since there's not a lot of people that can, and enlist people who can do stuff like object editing, skinning, and 2d graphics (stuff I haven't spent as much time on).

I wasn't aware stories were important at this stage. I'll write something.

Meh if you can model say so :P It's just that soo many people come here and expect models, but if you can model then you are half way there. But I suggest looking into a hosted mod called Project REvolution. Sowwy for the red rep, i'll green it up when I can.

Project revolution looks nice. It's a re-do though, and mine is sort of a sequel. Anyone willing to help?

Yeah Re-dos are not worth it, but are you sure you are able to make a sequel for starcraft?

Absolutely. It'll probably be more like Warcraft III than Starcraft, gameplay, anyway. But I'm incorporating many of the elements that made SC so popular in the first place. When you play, you'll be able to lose units and still win the game.

And anyways, it's not really a sequel, because Blizzard didn't make it.

Yourself said kind of a sequel.

I suggest not naming it Starcraft II nor anything with starcraft , it will still be something like starcraft with all those elements and races and that stuff but it won't give you other problems, since it is not official and it is a mod. For example Project Revolution wasn't called (preffix) Starcraft (suffix)

After a month of time without any update, I am pretty sure the project isn't alive anymore.
