Don't you hate warcraft because there is only DOTA, somethingwars, towers and laggy open RPGs? Now here is your chance to help and try to make something new. Map so far: there are a thousand islands (100?), each with treasures, and some kind of monster or dude. You can take over the islands to become stronger or something. Treasures can range from new combos to spell manuals that give you powerful new abilities. Somewhere in the middle of the map, there is a grand huge island. I have no definite plan for it but it should be the most dangerous island. Your main unit will be a blademaster. So far there is a spinning slash, distant attack that thrusts through people, jumping(you can even walk on buildings), which allows you to attack air units even with your abilities that used to hit only ground, and combos. The combos are the coolest part of the game. There are different attacks in them that you normally can't use. These combos uses a bar system like those Capcom fighting games. Any attack you use will raise your combo bar, and when you have enough points for the combo, you can activate it, even for just part of the combo if you don't have enough points. Some ideas: capturing islands, water level changing in game (not sure if it's possible yet), sea monsters(I put them so people wouldnt try to take a swim in the ocean), nuclear attacks to temporarily sink islands (not sure if this is possible either), projectiles that can be destroyed. Please give me ideas for how to make this map and what it should be about. Try not to suggest turning it into something already made. If you want to help test the map, look at the map testing forum. Guest | 1st: not possible to raise or lower water unless you use the destructible doodad which does that. 2nd: might be possible to alter terrain tho, there is some triggers which ive never tried which can do something to the terrain o_O 3rd: if you want a uniqe map... PLEASE dont use the blade master... its so used it should be lying in a grave as i write this. 4th: i myself dont like the general picture i get of the map, but thats just my view, im more into rpg maps ^_^ (not laggy open rpgs as you expressed yourself ;) ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- :o nearly forgot to post an idea... hmm... you could... hmm... sorry i cant come up with any ideas... as i said im into rpgs... ill post here again if i come up with something. well, good luck with the map, i hope you can get it through, then ill try it out someday i guess :8 Yours, ~Obedience~ |

I never released the new system though, because it started having this weird crashing problem. It might have been caused from all those patch changes. Not sure though. It was called Killing Edge. You probably can't find any of the good versions though. The story also got jacked up at the end of that one beta. I will just pretend it never happened if I continue it. There was even comedy in the story. So far I already let the map die out. The bad thing about that map was that you had to memorize the spell's handseals. Anyways, here are the screen shots from Thousand Islands Alpha version. |

I made the tide level lower successfully, but the shore line doesn't look right and the pathing doesn't update like it would in the editor....:(. There was water splashing when I walked through it when I raised the tide, but the water doesn't spread like it did in the editor. This game play might be better off for a new kind of arena like those tournament games. |

Guest | Well, i got to say that the fighting system for your map sounds quite good, i think you should go for an arena map like you yourself suggested, would be nice with an arena where you would have to avoid beeing hit instead of just standing there hitting the other player until one of you dies ^_^ good luck whatever you do :8 Yours, ~Obedience |

All right, I've got it! It will be like an arena, but I'll call it a tournament type of game, where each island has something to do and a main person you must beat to move on to the next island. Eventually, this island bracket system would all link up to the center island. Oh, I forgot to mention that each island may have some kind of special duel zone like fighting on top of trees or something for the main battles. If you have any suggestions, I am willing to hear it. Do you think I should change the name of the map? Thousand Island is a salad dressing. If so, I would be accepting some ideas. |

Possible names: 1. Archipelago Arena/Tournament 2. Carribean Conquest 3. Island Horizons Meh, lame(?)...off the top of my head ^_^ |

whatif someone kills your boat like a creature, then there is nothing dangerous to fight and your trapped? will you put in a suicide command? i had to ask one of the other player's in an FF ORPG game to kill me once. lol Island Conquest: Battle For Power howz that sound? |

I think right now, the map will be more of an arena than capture the islands. And you I don't think you need to suicide for any reason unless you are japanese and lost your honor some how. lol |
