Guest | Greetings, I am currently creating a project called AoS Generals, and I need ideas about the ultimate abilities of the heroes. Read about AoS Generals here: http://www.wc3campaigns.com//showthread.php?t=76616 *only read if interested. its long.* Heroes will have 31 lvls, 3 main summon skills that have 10 lvls and 1 skill at lvl 31; their ultimate ability. These are abilities that one would look at and automatically, unquestionably, and undeniably say THESE ARE IMBA!!! well, of course they are. They're ultimate. examples of ultimate abilities of heroes: Bomber General ultimate ability: Hack! Bomber General has hacked into Warcraft 3 and now can place mines WHEREVER he wants. place a mine anywhere on the map. Mine activates after 5 secs and is always invisible. Also acts as a sentry until decimated. Deals 500 damage to the whole area of explosion. 1 second cooldown!! *cannot kill heroes... leaves them at 1 hp*. Peasant Council General ultimate ability: Summon peasant leader lasts 120 secs ("GO AND EXPAND MY PEASANTS! PROPOGATE!") has: summon peasant leader's secretary -- last 100 sec can summon peasant village can mass insta-teleport 100 units with no cooldown summon peasant village (100 mana cost, 20 sec cool down.) lasts 90 secs summons a peasant house (functions as clockwork goblins and produces peasant villager every 3 seconds). peasant villager: lasts 90 secs can cast summon peasant village. **** all peasants provide only 1 gold. 1 exp.*** in this case, you would share your units, and have everyone trying to make as many peasant villages as possible. LOL. Chicken General ultimate ability: FREE RANGE: At last they are free in the wild, and they have grown vicious and strong. Phoenix eggs and strong chickens appear across the whole map at 10/second. lasts 30 seconds, cool down is 30 seconds. And so on. If you like to think up of ideas that are imba but sooo amazingly fun to use, post them! but please read first what the game is about. I need ultimates for these generals: Elvish Archer General, Treant general, Sniper General, Assassin general, and Earth General. The description can be found on the info site mentioned above, but feel free to create an ultimate based off of just the name and your inspiration. Actually, I would love to see ideas for the other generals too, and I would be interested in including any new generals someone comes up with, as long as their abilities are reasonable to code and unique. So come up with the most IMBA skills you can think of! PS. since this is a project gathering section, I will say that I do intend to gather a project. However, this post is a much better way to get people used to and interested in my project before I actually request people for help. Before I push this project into mainstream, I would like to make a small version of the map that will have very few but complete heroes and a working engine so I am not a complete and utter loser of a map creator. However, for a professional project, I will need people with time to actually make the 20 or so heroes and their summons *around 100 custom units* that I would like to have. This is good because for those customs, beginners can easily do them in WE, as long as they don't require a new skin or very unique abilities. I also feel bad if I just borrow an AoS hero choice/startup/gameboard from an unprotected AoS out there; if anyone is willing to let me use theirs, I would dedicate a hero to them ^^; their choice. BURN HER!! SHE TURNED ME INTO A NEWT!" spellcaster that dies very, very, very easily. #ofwitchhunters summoned lvl 1 1 brand (faerie fire with no effects, can see unit from anywhere). fast cooldown lvl 2 2 lvl 3 2 burn at stake (must be branded; stuns and damages target unit until it dies. can be dispelled). Slow cooldown lvl 4 2 lvl 5 3 lvl 6 3 witch test. *she weighs more than a duck!* (50% chance to burn at stake w/o branding.) very fast cooldown lvl 7 3 lvl 8 4 lvl 9 4 lvl 10 4 forced communism: turn enemy unit into a peasant permanently. Oooooh. I see what your trying to do. Whoever gets to use the ultimate first, wins. Everyone will want to play your map, because "IMBA!!!" spells are cool. You also said in the link you gave "Yes, I am a newb at making maps; maybe a project of this calibre is not healthy for a noob to start, but I thought the idea was too good to just store away" I bet 5k gold in <1 month this project will die a slow and painful death. Anyone wanna take that bet? |
