...give a Knight model found below- http://www.wc3sear.ch/?p=Models&ID=454 -The Captain's portrait, a spell anim (aka, give him the Garithos Spell anim), and hero glow? Any pointers? EDIT: I figured out how to get the portrait working. Now I need some info on how to do the 2 other things :god_help_us: :god_help_us: :god_help_us: |

The knight model, has irregular bones (I think), normally you would rename the boens and do an animation transfer but you seem to be a newbie to modelling, so that might be confusing to you. I suggest you ask someone to do it... I'll see what I can do if I have time... for the hero glow it's very simple, first open up an MDL with a hero, and get the glow geoset (click save geoset), then open up your knight MDL, with the geoset merger, and merge the glow to it, for the texture just set it to additive, two-sided and no path. For the bone set it to something like pelvis. If you want glow on a weapon, just shrink and position the glow right, geomermerge it again, but this time, for the bone, find the weapon bone, it may be named lance or whatever, you'll have to experiment |

Thanks very much! I'll just go now and try it out. PS: Can't give rep to ye, cos I haven't spreaded it around for some time... EDIT: It works! Thanks loads, mon' ![]() EDIT2: He's glow in the dark!!! :8 Hope you have some time to give him the anim... Should I post the model here or send it to you? (If you have time, of course) EDIT3: The Knight's Attack 1 anim is also a very good spell anim. Err, maybe make Attack 1 into Attack 1 + Spell? :( Reply soon! |

I'll get around to it later today, because that's da way my summer schedule goes... :P internet in the morning, wc in the afternoon... It's simple to change the attack anim to a spell anim, copy that bit, with the thing like } "Attack -1" Interval (1445 - 5500) bounds limit, blah blah blah } I did that from memory, so it's prolly a bit messed up and then paste it at the bottom of the animations, then just chane the attack -1 to Spell |

OK. The spell anim works fine. Now. Uh... How can I get some particle/ribbon emitters when he does the anim? |

Ribbon emitters are a bit tricky, and I'm a bit lazy to explain them. Particle emitters r quite simple and there's a tutorial in oinkerwinkle's website |

Ribon Emitters: are especialiced emitters that instead of liberating planes, they liberate cuads or edges. they are used in most of the wc3 spells and they are only visible when they are moved. Particle emitters: this type corresponde to Super Spray particles in 3dsmax, they are used to spray up geometry pieces, blizzard discarded them from art tools. They can be found in almost every bird-dragon model in wc3. Particle Emitters2: (i think u all know alrdy) |

Thanks, homies! Now, can you help me on this: The Orc Shaman is left handed, how can I get him right handed? I want his "Claw" weapon on both his hands, and I want him to use his right hand for attacking. Is this possible? If it is (I'm pretty sure), then point me in the right way. And if there isn't a way to modify the left hand anims to be the right hand anims, then that's OK. My primary intention is to get his both hands to wield the "Claw" weapons. Cheers! |

I don't think so, there might be some tool in 3ds max to flip animations, but you'd have to import it with Faadi's script and then do a whole lot of stuff. If you want him to attack with both hands then do an animation transfer, it should be pretty easy, find a unit that does attack with both hands. You might want to try the fel orc slashing guy or something |

well geomerge it on? Take the claw geoset flip it and then place it where the right hand would be and geomerge it on... |
