Harvest moon: Changing times

Introduction:
This was my all favorite playstation game, changing times aint a real harvest moon game, but i made it this title because its a change of times, dont you think? ;) Anyways, this is the reason im making it, and hopefully manage to gather a team.

Story:
The story of all the harvest moon games goes like this:

Your grandfather has died and noone is there to take care of his farm, as a young boy you visited his farm and just loved to be there, now the mayor of the small-town is worried that noone can take care of the farm so he contacts you. He asks if you want to take care of it, you have three years to keep farming, if the villains of the town dont like the work you have done after three years you wont be able to work on the farm anymore, if they like it, you get to stay.

Features:

Start of the game:
In the start of the game there are alot of gras to cut, many stones to break and alot of wood to chop down, after you have done this you can start with farming.

The farm:
There will be a house where you live in on the farm, a barn for the cows and sheeps, a barn for chickens and a barn for hourses. There will also be a field where you can plant various of plants, vegetables and so on. By the edge of the farm there will also be a river where you can fish.

How to earn money?:
Well this is done by selling vegetables, plants, milk, woll, eggs, fishes and much more, you will also be able to win money in competitions.

Does he sleep?:
Yes, this is kind of a real-life game, where you have to sleep and eat. If you stay out to long in the rain or the ice-cold winter, then you get sick and has to seek a doctor.

Weather, does it change?:
Yes of course it does, and it also effects the game very much, you dont have to water your seeds if it rains, the tornado might kill your animals if they are not inside the barn and such.

Can you predict the weather?:
Well, as said, your animals can die if they stay out over the night in bad weather, so there has to be a way to predict the weather. The way to do this is to turn on the television set inside your house, there will also be news and maybe a few "Farmer fran" tips there, on how to do stuff at your farm.

Will your house remain the same?:
Of course not, you can talk to a person, pay him, and he will make add-ons to you house, such as a larger bed and so on, for this you will also be using wood, if you dont have wood you can buy of him.

Are there different seasons?:
Yes, after a amount of days the seasons change, there are the regular four seasons that we all have experienced, and there will also be different items that can be used in the various seasons, i mean, you cant grow tomatoes in winter.

Are there only the farm that is play-able?: Actually no, you can go into the city, talk to people there, and yes, you might even meet girls at your age there, and if you give them items they like (all of them like different items), then they will like you more and more, and maybe you will get married someday, even get kids! There will also be shops where you can buy seeds, a blacksmith that can make you items you need for your farming (like a shovel and such), a inn, hospital, church and more!

Events in game:
As every country has, events. This can be from haloween to the national day of the country, the game will also feature this. There will be a day for horse race, cow judging, chicken fighting, and even a night where everybody can just talk themselves among. On events you can win money, or other stuff.

Items you get from animals:
There will be different sizes on the milk, woll, eggs and such. This depends on how much the animal likes you. Do you brush your cow everyday and talk to it? Well why dont you? If you do you can gain the super-milk, wich gives you more money!

What to do in winter?:
Well, theres not much seeds to water, but why dont you take a look at the cave? There you can look for gold, bronze, and more, just by using a hoe.

What house extensions are there?:

Chicken Coop:

Extend so it can hold 10 chickens instead of 5.

First house extension:

Makes the house larger and adds a doubble-bed (needed when getting married).

Barn Extension:

Makes room for 10 sheep and 10 cows instead of 5 sheep and 5 cows.

Greenhouse:

A greenhouse where you can plant any seed at any season.

-Peak of Mothers Hill (Some festivals are held here, and a nice view)
-Base of Mothers Hill (Collect lumber here, and gather berries to sell also some people hanging around)
-Hot Springs (Take a nice bath, boil eggs and more)
-Gotz' House (Talk to him for extending your house, barn and chicken coop)
-Poultry Farm (Buy chickens, chicken food, chicken medicine and more)
-Inn (Go get a drink after work and talk to people)
-Yodel Farm (Buy cows and sheeps here, you will also get a pony here)
-Mineral Beach (Go take a bath or try your fishing luck)
-Church (Some festivals here)
-Clinic (You end up here if you are sick)
-Supermarked (Buy items and seeds here)
-Blacksmith (Buy tools, and get them upgraded)
-Cave (Go there to gather gold, bronze and other minerals)
-Other houses (Just were people live)

Are you planning to make more then what you just said?: Yes, it is very possible!

What do you need?:
I need all the help i can get really, modellers and skinners could be very fine to have, it makes the game much better, instead of having a rain-deer as a cow and such :P A co-triggerer is welcomed. Cinematics is not a NEED, but makes a fine touch to the game.

If someone is good at drawing and would like to do a map over the town, farm and so on, then i would LOVE that!

Aha. It sounds very nice, but are you really able to finish an ambitious project like this?

finishing it will take some amount of time, that i know. Comming out with a beta in a month or two should be really possible, and after that i can tell you if i will be able to finish it or not ;)

I will start of with the most important part, the farming itself, then the town events and so on will come after time, because this is not THAT important, just adds more playtime and more fun :D

I've seen people not being able to finish smaller projects than this, Slugge. I don't really listen to those words of "Coming out with a beta <insert time here>" because often only the creator is convinced of it.

Do whatever you want though. But think twice before doing something since this really isn't easy to create.

I guess what your saying is said in every new project, they ask if we can finish it, youll just have to see, dont ya? I mean, i do not know what the future will bring, if someone in familiy dies, then huge break, you never know! But i will try my best!

Heh, well I've moved on. I'm working on a succesful campaign that's on the verge of getting hosted. (We have yet to apply, but progress is going awseome) It's pretty much a mod and campaign in one, with 2 (hopefully) new races.

But, really, you should check out the thread "A Farmer's Life" I based it heavily on Harvest Moon, and I had a few neat ideas.

Go and swap your ideas!... and your phone numbers, while you're at it.

I did check out you thread, and well, as fladian has mentioned before, i DO got a handful, and dont wont more work yet!
