You'll need to download a map protector I highly reccommend getting a map optimizer while you're at it Lord Vexorian's WC3 Map Optimizer will both lock and decrease size dramatically Remember to save your optimized map as a NEW file, or else you wont be able to ever edit your map again ![]() |

Does anyone know the difference between a map optimizer ad a map protector? |

Map Optimizer's reduces the loading time and the amount of space your map takes. Map Protectors just protect your map by encrypting it so that noone can view it with World Editor. It's not that complicated you know..? |

simplest map protection just corrupts the files only WE uses, but the game itself doesnt care about. do some research, theres tools and howtos. |

Some of them just makes the map work only with an certain name, kind of an password system. As Seal said, there is lots of Protectors, some are better and more water proof than the others. It's only an question of how well you want to protect your map. |

I like the ones that require a password, they are ALMOST unopenable w/o the password whereas if you use a really unique password your computer speed (just an example) NO ONE will ever figure it out. unless you gave it out. God my new dvd drive, as long as the computer is on acts as if it's possesed by poltergiests (poltergeists are mischevious ghosts for noobs) i think there might be a problem w/ the eject button, it maybe stuck, from the inside, cuz i can open it myself. :'( |

exprotect uses a password, although using it with a password actually increases the filesize. |
