Yeah, its the only custom world editor I have, and lately I've been unable to open my map whenever I edit my triggers. (Note that this ONLY occurs after I edit my triggers in some way shape or form) Every time I open the map it says "Trigger Data missing or invalid" I have no idea what to do.. I definitely did not lock the map.. or anything before saving.. Can someone please help me out? It's a good thing I kept a back up.. But I really need some help here.. otherwise I've lost the ability to edit my map forever... |

Did you protect your map before it stopped working? if not, did you ever use 'Test Map' (if you can on WEU) because that creates a temporary map called WorldEditTestMap which you might be able to open |

If you didn't lock your map then it sounds like it may of been corrupted. As the previous poster said, check your wc3 directory for your last tested map or you're out of luck. |

your only hope besides that would be that you have some sort of Deletion Protection in your OS like Norton Protected Recycle Bin. World editor removes a map each time it saves it. |

I have the same problem , the answer is : 1.Use WinMPQ or other MPQ tools to extract war3map.wct from your map 2.Use a hex editor like UE or Winhex(recommended) to open the wct file 3.Scroll down and find two "00 00" bytes , the text before and after the bytes should be like "local string Backup = GetPlayerName(Player(12))"(before the bytes) and "call SetPlayerName(Player(12)" 4.delete the two "00 00" bytes (if you use UE ,you should use cut instead , delete is useless) 5.save the wct file and replace the original file in your map Then you can open the map in the world editor unlimited. |

Holy shit. Not only is this a 4 year old thread revival, it's completely off-topic of the discussion and makes no sense. You sir, fail. |
