the overall terrain is far too flat. no acctualy landscape has such unnoticable height variation. some large hills would make it more realistic. those trees are too over-scaled aswell. for such large trees, it would be better to use the world tree, and a custom model for the leaves |

Thx for critz, ill add more height variation, the trees on the other hand have to stay as they are. In game the height they are now is perfect for playability, any smaller and the trees get in the way of seeing ur units, u also cant really tell how tall they are in game. (This is the same reason why the platforms are so low, this is the ideal height for playability. anything else that u think looks good or bad. the maps not even near done, so if u think theres a part that looks perfect or a part that looks shitty id like to know what to keep or remove thx |

then perhaps you could post some screen shots from the normal wc3 camera angle. also, if you were to use the world tree instead of the ashenvale tree model. you would have no problem as the world tree has no canopy, and if you choose to create one, you could make it as high as you want, by streaching the Z scale. im sorry, but i just cant stand it when textures are streached that much those obilisks looks quite out of place too. if you used a thicker fog, tinted them ever so slightly green, and added some buff/ability effects to them. give it a bit more of a magical elven feel, instead of huge human slabs of concreate also, useing some more grass textures would prevent large areas of the same tile looking like green carpet |

alright I'll try the world tree but i was planning on saving it for a central tree house, but Ill see how it looks. I like ur idea about the obelisk, I will do that as well EDIT - heres the pic u requested of a tree house in game ![]() |

i dont really get what u mean, i think ur saying that i should add in some larger trees in the forest that arent tree house so the tree house trees arent so much bigger, if thats what u mean im going to do that but im adding them in last because they get in the way alot. Also i wanna keep the magical look, so the giant trees can be expalined by elven druids enhancing them to be larger |

Press V to get rid of those little bowes. The overall terrain isn't bad, but it isn't good either, it needs weather and fog, and some origionality. Try downloading some custom doodads and shizz like that. [b]Off topic: I'm BACK BITCHES! |
