Ive made a simple model in Gmax so i can work out how to make attatchments but now im stumped as to what to do next. I can import it to the world ed with the texture but it floats in the air and can't be used and i know i need to add attactchment points so would appreciate if anyone would show me how. um.. if I understand you correctly: You are making an attachment sword. Ingame when you attach it to a unit it floats in the air. Correct? Well if so, you should move the model down near 0 in the grid in gMax. Try moving it abit and see how it changes ingame. (I know its teedious but you soon will get a flow in it.) I myself am just starting out as a modeler and I also use gmax. I am currently working on some attachment models myself for a quite uniq map im working with. |

I agree with c-r0w, attached models move automaticaly to the attachment, you don't need to set your swordwere it must be on the unit. move the sword to the origin of the 3d interface. And rotate the sword to fit the model ![]() |
