First off,I used 3dsmax 7 for these but will switch to 6 for something that 7 can't do.so specify what is done in 6 and what is done in 7. Well i've gotten a hang of modeling but haven't done much low poly warcraft stuff. I made two models for warcraft3. both editable meshes(though made in edit poly) and with slightly different methods. ![]() http://img179.imageshack.us/my.php?image=efwip9ko.jpg (sorry for low qaulity renders) The marine was done in different elements. The hand and the body are detached elements.though in the same mesh the vertecies are not welded. The Dwarf(skin is still at a very low stage and will most likley be redone)was all made into object.all object vertices are conected to eachother. Additional info: marine uses two 256x256 textures.dwarf uses one 256x256 and one 128x128. My skins are not exported with textporter(I do it the manual way,sorry blinkboy but I just can't get textporter to install...) marine is under 1200 polies and dwarf under 700 polys. What I need: Animating help... I hardly know anything about animating... I've set up bones on a model once...They kind of worked...but then i trashed them. A good 3dsmax 6 and up warcraft tutorial Would be awsome. If not you can Animate the models...Just ask and I will give them to you. So thanks ahead of time. -Staby aka halo |
