-This contest is a challenge to model makers to make models based on video game characters. All people who enter a finished model will receive some free green rep just for playing. (One per person regardless of how many models you enter.) The winner in each division will receive another green rep. I will judge.
-Deadline: Extended to June 1, 2006.
-Rules: (Not many)
1. All model styles are accepted. (Geoset, poly edits, built from sractch.) The only things that I will be judging on are how good it looks in game, how well the animations work, and accuracy
2. Please try to keep the total memory size of the model (yes, this includes skins) under 700k.
3. No models from games based on movies, books, TV shows, professional sports organizations, and toys. Examples include Goku (DBZ games), King Kong (coming soon), The Undertaker (WWE), and the Blue Eyes White Dragon (Yu-gi-oh). Exception: Unique characters that were specifically designed for the game they are in are allowed. Examples of this include HK-47 (KOTOR) and Saravok (Baldur's Gate).
4. You can submit one model per division. (See Below)
5. No Warcraft or Starcraft models. We probably have tons of these already since this is after all a mod site dedicated to Blizzard RTS games.
-Divisions:
1. Action: Examples include Mario, Mega Man, Sonic, Devil May Cry, Mercenaries, and God of War.
2. RPG: Examples include Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy, Fable and Chrono Trigger.
3. First Person Shooter: Examples include Halo, Pain Killer, Doom, and Half Life.
4. Flight Similator: Examples include Crimsom Skys High Road to Revenge and Wing Commander.
5. Fighting: Examples include Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Soul Calibur.
6. Similation: Examples include The Sims.
7. Strategy: Examples include Civilation, Rome Total War, and Alpha Centauri.
-Good luck and most importantly, have fun!
