...lest the abyss gaze back at thee. It's my first Tolkien fan art, you may have recognized Nienor and Glaurung (well, probably not). It took me about 16 hours, way too much... I don't really like Nienor's face, but I'm pretty happy with the sky, beacause it looks rather good whereas it took me only 10 minutes. All was done in photoshop, without any references. |

Glaurung is much larger than that... much... MUCH larger... It looks cool, and it's nice to note that you were so dedicated to finishing this piece. If I can remember how to crit, I'll give you some later. icbm1987 |

Hmmmm . . . it just goes to show that I have proper fantasy background not to recognize those names, I guess. That's excellent, Stormrage, but something's throwing me off, here. I think it's because of the lack of directional lighting, as the sun is on the far side of the photo - so the side we're seeing should perhaps have more shadows. I would also say that it seems to be a little lacking in emotion, but what would I really know about that? |
