Half Faced Blood Mage

I want to make the Blood mage have difrent eyes
one surrounded by some things etc
but the skin contains a half of face so the details will repeat on both sides
is there any way to make this ?

the only way to do this would be to import it to a 3d editing program, reunwrapping it and exporting it again, unfortunatly i cant do this for you because whenever i import to 3ds max all the animations are gone and i cant fix it.

so it would be alot of work just to get a simple full face texture.

Its not that hard.

Get Oinker's MDL Vertex Modifer.
Convert your bloodmage's MDX to MDL
Open it with the Vertex Modifer
Open the 'UV Map' option.
Load a JPG version of your new skin (With the 2 sides for the face)
Pull the Verticies of the second half of the face over to the second half of the face on the new skin.
Save.
Convert the MDL back to MDX.
Put the MDX in the same folder as the new skin.
Open it with the Wc3viewer to check your UV Mapping job.

Thats all there is to it. Animations remain intact, and best of all, its free.


Of course if you want my opinion, I suggest you clone the eye's verticies, and then just skin an eye and drag the cloned eye over the new eye on the UV Map. That way you dont need the entire face. ITs up to you.

I cant understand whats going on the screen or anything

this a small pathetic project

a small crappy RPG that I shall play with my cousin
we both watch the polish translation of Yugioh (really crappy)
and when you combine the way how YuGiOh is with not fiting voiceactors
and funny comments from me and my cousin , you get hell good fun!
So I want to make a such cheap RPG
Its already done in 50%
I wanted here just to have a cool Blood Elf model as that Pegasus guy (hahahha great name hahaha)
and one if his eyes schould be the millenium eye
heh cant wait to make items for Pegasus that will be normal items only with the word "Milenium"
A few examples
Gerards Lost Milenium Ledger
This Millenium Ledger looks full of boring Milenium facts and Milenium History.
or

Mlenium Key of the three Milenium Moons
Cut from the Milenium saphire body of Enulaia, it opens the Milenium Soul of the Milenkium gate

Or.....

Milenium Amulet of Milenium Vitality +250
It provides the Hero 500 additional Life Points....
Why 500 and not 250? Its a milenium item dummy

or....

Tiny Great Milenium Hall
If this map would be a normal melee map this item would have sense.
But since this is also a Milenium item, it provides you with +10 to all atributes


I know its pathetic..... but anywayz its just a patheticly small projetc just for fun!

but i dont know what to do
here you got the skin

I compared how it would looks if i would use the original skin....
all is perfectly matched there, but most parts of my work are moved to the right

what now?

First of all, your skin is the wrong size. 256x256. Not 335x256.

Secondly do you see those lines crossing over half the face? That is actually two sets of 'lines,' one overlapping the other. What you need to do is look at the model in the normal area (with the 4 viewpoints) and highlight half of the face. Put that half on the other half of the face.

but I heck cant pull the face over the other part!
