Last time I checked, you don't need to the registry to play Wc3.. I've reinstalled Windows and wiped my registry 3 times since I've had wc3 and I've never reinstalled it. When I put the CD in the Auto-Run will tell me I need to reinstall, but as long as I click the icon on the desktop it'll let me play. |

You can play the game without the registry entries. But you cant upgrade to a newer version. Since blizzard's patch checks the registry. if it doesnt find some entries gives error. Also this fixes the editor's paths. so you can still open the maps by double clicking them. and all these in case you didnt install the game from the cd. |

Additionally the registry keys are needed for MPQDraft patches to work (fex. UMSWE and WEU need them) Good work. |
