I have pics of several 3D characters. I want to make a skin base on the look of each character in the pics. How can i go about doing this in Photoshop?

Download wc3viewer.
Use it to open up war.mpq (or warx.mpq for expansion units) and search for the skin you want.
Then extract it and convert the .blp to .tga
Open in photoshop and edit.
(I have no idea if this is what you need to know so I put it here just incase you didn't know.)

Well, you just need to color over the original basicly. I would gladly show you some links to tutorials and great skins as example, unfortunaly those sections are down.
I can't go explaining it all, you need to do it yourself to know. All I can say is use dodge, burn, smudge and lasso, remember to shade. And practice ofcourse.

Its not easy to skin somthing from scratch. IF your just recoloring and slightly modifying another skin, it wont take much time. If you want to completely re-do the skin with your FF characters, make sure to take your time and do it right.

Hmm, I tried to find some sited I used to learn my skinning, but they seem to be taken off the net.
Try looking at some skins made by other people or just the skins from blizzard. It gives you a idea how the shading goes.
