UVWUnwrapping

Hello, there guys. I'm doing this model, and I need help to unwrap it. I have the tools (3dsmax 5 and Lithunwrap) because I did this before, but since I never got really good at this, and there's been a LOOONG time since I last did this, I just don't remember how to do some things I remember how to manipulate things, but I simply can't remember how to import the UVW map from the .3ds created with lithunwrap to the original model (a .max, but that doesn't matter)! Do I have to do it mesh by mesh (I have like 30 different meshes in the model :/) or is there a faster way? I remember there was a tutorial here teaching this, but I guess it's not there anymore, huh? Well, thanks in advance, and sorry for the bad english :/

Simply get the Art Tools and create your model in Max5. There is no need for Lithunwrap. Add the 'Unwrap UV Map' modifier to the model, then click 'Edit' from that modifier. Simple as that.

You're kidding, right? I'M THE DUMBEST CREATURE ON EARTH x_x

EDIT: Whew, thank god! I remembered why I use Lithunwrap: my model is composed of several parts, and in Lithunwrap I can edit all of them at once, so I can see what I'm doing! And unless there's a way to do that im Max, I'm not the dumbest creature on Earth. I'm the SECOND dumbest creature on Earth! XD

u know that if u in max attach each of the parts, unwrap them and then u can detach them by using element sub of editeable poly u could do that without an external program.

also after unwraping look in thehubb.co.uk for my tutorial of how to export ur unwrap to an image.

I'm not aware of any way of seeing all the sections in the UVW Map at once, not without attaching/detaching anyway. If you want to do that I suggest exporting the model from MAX as a MDL and then opeen it with Oinkerwinkle's Vertex Modifier and then create the UV Map from there.

EDIT: BlinkBoy you bastard :P

thank u tim is nice to get insulted the day of today but could u give me a reason.

and if he got max 5, why using oinkerwinkle tools? after all if he exports his model to wc3 format he will lose some of polygonal info and all his polygons will be divided into triangles.

I said use it only if he didn't want to attach/detach. It was not an insult, it was a joke. You posted 1 minute before me.
