![]() “It is by blood and honor we serve ~~Campaign Outline~~ General Storyline [Spoiler-Free] Players will act in the role of Valgrad Bearathrak. He is the youngest son of Boergner Bearathrak, Jarl (chieftan) of the Tribe of the Bear. He has one other sibling, and this is of Hithark. Whereas Valgrad took the route of the berserkers – the most respected and feared path of the Norse warrior clans – Hithark followed the route of the mysterious, enigma like runemasters. The fall of the Bear will begin in the Norse year 986 AC (After Creation). Since the formation of the Tribe of the Bear six hundred years prior, the Tribe of the Wolf and the Bear had always had issues with each other. If it weren't they're culture (whereas the Bear are primarily warriors and hunters, the Wolf are a mix of runemasters and warriors) , it would be land disputes. Countless times there had been a skirmish over a gold mine or a thijredir tree, ancient trees formed from the blood of Margethyr; the All-Father of the Gods and the god of wisdom, that are thick and of high quality. In 986 AC, it will be discovered by both Bear and Wolf explorers an ancient underground city filled with ancient history and gifts from the gods. The two expeditionary groups will fight amongst themselves, and eventually kill each other. The only survivor from each group will flee to their kinsmen, spilling the tale in their favor. From there, the war that both tribes have awaited for countless generations will emerge. Valgrad and Hithark, along with their father Boergner, will lead the Tribe of the Bear to the fields of Sethmek, two days journey east from the discovered ruins, and one day journey north to the lands of the Tribe of the Wolf. The two sides will battle – the Wolf releasing their dire rune-magic, whereas the bears charged into battle, slaying as much as their opponents did. The battle would go to neither side for a day, until it was revealed that the Wolf forces the Bears had been fighting for an entire day was only half the force the Wolves had sent – the other half attacked from the south! The fate of the Bear was clear. The Bear lost tremendous losses, and Boergner would die. Whereas Hithark would take half the forces and flea, Valgrad would cut through the eastern flank of the Wolves and escape with barely a hundred men. But now with their father dead, the issue of who shall inherit the Tribe came to mind. Hithark was the eldest of the two, but obviously a coward when he took his forces and ran from the battle. Valgrad was the youngest, but the most courageous and honorable. The Bear was split into two parties – culture and honor. And so, the Tribe of the Bear entered civil war, for neither brother would give up the throne. about: What you have just read is a rough draft of a story for a Norse-inspired campaign that I am thinking up in my head. So, critcism (the negative type in particular) would be appreciated. Now, if you are gonna give me negative criticsm, tell me WHY. The same applies for positive criticsm. |

Sounds something out of a Norse tale, only that there would never be a second thought as to who would be crowned king. If i remember correctly, the most powerful and bravest warriors only go to Vanhalla. Still, i woud of like to know where this campaign would take out. Would you be given a chose as to which warrior you could chose? Heh, though it would be cool if you could do a cool move like the warrior that throw himself on his spear, which his face disformed. lol. Anyways, the story looks like it has potentional, but i would like to hear more about the gameplay if this is a campaign. No metter how great the story, people just want to play a fun game. Still, I personally think that the game would be more fun if you included something more about the legend of the Norse. Things like the gods and such. |
