hi all happy faces.

I (believe it or not)accidentely protected a map I was working on. so that map was totaly ruined, but I got two different files with the same filename except the endings ([mapname.w3x]->[mapname.BAK] and [mapname.W3B]) anyone know how to use those file to get my map back?

if it is any help I used "W3M Default Protector" in the downloadable "W3M Map Utilities" program. I greatly appreaciate your taken time for this.

Although i haven't tested this try renaming the .BAK file to Mapname.w3x

My guess is it may just eb the map file with a new extension.

IF not i have a feeling you may be stuck.

Do remember that "test map" saves a copy of your map as testmap.w3x Replaced everytime you 'test'.

well the bak file is a backup, its gonna be predated but its still going to be a copy of your map at one time.
