Switching between Unit Attacks

I have a way to switch between a unit's Combat - Attack Enabled options (None, Attack 1 Only, Attack 2 Only, Both) and haven't read anywhere a solution for this so I'll post it here in case it's helpful. The drawback is that it works for a building only.

To Enable Attack 1, do following actions:
Add Root(Ancients) to (Unit)
Remove Root(Ancients) from (Unit)

To Enable Attack 2, do following actions:
Add Root(Ancient Protector) to (Unit)
Remove Root(Ancient Protector) from (Unit)

To enable both attacks or no attack, just make a couple of custom Root(Ancients) abilities and change the Data - Rooted Weapons field accordingly. The technique works really well, because it's instant, doesn't disrupt current orders and there's no visual artifacts.

If you can somehow get this to work on regular units, please post solution. Maybe do an unroot, but haven't really looked into that.

Interesting concept. I question how reliable it is, however I see how it could be helpful for some maps.
