This Map Is like a ordinary hero arena but will kick ass 50x more all custom models an icons, trigger enhanced spells, 5 players on each team

Im making a website but its freewebs... im learning HTML in School so mabye some one could make a website if they want and they will be beta tester, and forums im making with invisionfree if anyone could get IPB the would be great.\

Hmmm... I've quite a few things to say already.

1st, you've triple posted, and not to bump your topic. O.O

There's something about the map name that makes it hard to be taken seriously. There's Hero Arena Unlimited. Then there's Ultimate Hero Arena. Now there's Ultimate Hero Arena Unlimited. Might as well name it Super Ultimate Hero Arena Dragon Platinum Unlimited for more effect.

The posts have also told... very little. We know you're making a classic hero arena. That's about it. Saying "IT WILL KICK ASS!!!!111!!!0000 more times" does not make it seem any better. Neither does the promise of custom content.

We also have no idea what the shadow lord's abilities do, and I can speculate that his blink is just... a blink with different animation, but I have no idea from what you've provided.

Well, I have a tendency to overlengthen stuff, but the point is if you want to get people interested it'll be better to tell us more.

Also, I don't know the stats and all, but if you're using the default stat system, then as your heroes get to obscenely high levels, their armor goes obscenely high, and battles take obscenely long.

Ah! WONDERFUL. So we're going to have another crappy hero arena where the stats go into the hundreds, probably with tomes to ensure that anyone who has a SLIGHT advantage can then spam agilty tomes and buy a lifestealing artifact or bash or crit or something, to make sure that they KEEP their advantage, and it's going to be full of custom models so it'll take ages to download even if you only want to laugh at how bad it is?

The funny thing is, I see no custom models or icons in the screenshots. Just a totaly black shadow hunter.

Shadow Lord- This dark warrior is a master in shadow manipulation, which can turn into some very devistating effects.

Style: Melee

Abilities:

Shadow Summon- Shadow Lord Summons Shadows From the Shadow World and They Have there own Set Of abilties.

Mysterious Aura- Shadow Haves his own Mysterious Aura around him Makes His Mana Regereate Faster.

Shadow Sphere: Shadow Lord Creates a Giant Ball Above the Taget Unit and blast a large area around the targeted Unit.

Shadow Blast: Like Shadow Sphere But not as Strong and just send it right at the enemy.

Shadow Blink: The Shadow Lord Dispears into A Cloud Of Shadows.

You know whats funny? Zero is copying everything directly from my map, Hexenfos, which has been in production for 2 months.

Shadow Lord



Type: Spellcaster

Description: Quite possibly the most complex of all heroes in Hexenfos. This dark warrior is a master in shadow manipulation, which can turn into some very devistating effects.

Abilities:

-Shadow Bash: This is the Shadow Lord's base ability. Gives a % chance to bash the shadow right out of a target, sending it sailing backwards out of the target. The target will take damage every second until its own shadow wanders back to its body.

-Shadow Gaze: Send a deadly stare into a group of enemies. Deals damage and scares them. If they look straight into your eyes while being scared, they will become stunned and take extra damage. If the targets have no shadow, they will die instantly.

-Shadow Gate: This ability creates a black gate in the ground that leads to the shadow realm. The hands of shadow creatures will raise through the gate and pull everything trapped in the gate down to the shadow realm where they will be dealt heavy damage. If a unit dies inside of the Shadow Gate, only its shadow will emerge, and it will fight on your side for 30 seconds.

-Displace Shadow: This ability allows the Shadow Lord to rip out his own shadow to fight for him. This will cost him half of his hitpoints, but the shadow is permanent with its own set of abilities. *See notes for more information on shadows.*

-Shadow Aura: An aura which manipulates the shadows inside of enemy units. The aura will cause all enemy units to move/attack slower, and give shadow bash a higher % chance to knock the shadow out of an enemy unit. The shadows will take longer to return to their body, and the body will take additional damage from being shadowless.

-Shadow Ball: This is the Shadow Lord's ultimate ability, and for a good reason. It Creates a small black shadow ball at the target location. The ball will use any of its 10 green arms to suck in any creeps that come near it. The ball will grow as it sucks in enemy creeps. After a duration, the shadow ball will explode, doing damage to creeps over an EXTREMELY VAST area based on how many creeps the ball collected. Any creep without a shadow will die instantly.

*Notes:
-The Good stuff, onto the Shadow:

Shadow: This is the result of the Displace Shadow ability.

Abilities:

-Shadow Form: Any shadows controlled by the Shadow Lord have this ability. Their ethereal bodies cause them to have a high evasion rate. Most attacks will pass right through them.

-Return to Body: This allows the Shadow to return to the Shadow Lord's body, fully healing it.

-Shadow Bash: The same ability used by the Shadow Lord to knock Shadows out of bodies.

-Consume Shadow: Allows the Shadow to eat the shadow of an enemy creep after it has been knocked out of the body. With each devoured shadow, the Shadow Lord's shadow will grow in strength, and the enemy creep will slowly die due to having no shadow.

-Terror: Instantly kills any enemy creep without a shadow.

If you notice, he stole ideas for EVERYTHING from my map. Nothing is his, and he can't take credit for it. All he did was rename a few heroes, and he didn't even do a good job of that.

ZeroFrost is STEALING my map idea. NOTHING he is doing is his own work.

Well, I never intended this to become a flamesession... I merely pointed out a few things that I felt would help you improve and allow you to better get what you wanted.

I don't know how you can say he's completely ripped off your map... from what I know he hasn't revealed anything about the heroes, so I can't see enough evidence that he has blatantly ripped off your map since he hasn't posted any ideas -.-

Currently I'll stick that he's "inspired" by your map and that he likes your heroes so much that he's... modelling his hero after yours. Of course, being the map maker, I understand perfectly why you would feel this way... just give Zero the benefit of the doubt for the moment. Plus it seems that he is creating everything from scratch instead of just stealing your map, so take it as a compliment that he respects your map.

Anyway, generally it isn't a good idea to start a thread about a map that hasn't been designed, and isn't half done, and furthermore does not involve any unique ideas (as far as I know). If it's just a post about an idea, the idea should have some form of uniqueness, so at least the author can be justified in that he's trying to verify the uniqueness of the idea he has before he sets out to create the map. More importantly, the author usually will have a rough plan on what he wants to do the with the idea, and since the idea is also quite unique, people reading the thread might feel more interested in contributing to it.

So I say if you want to create a thread, at least get a working prototype of the map up, as well as posting the ideas you have for the map.

Of course, I am inherently biased against maps where I can't sense any uniqueness or originality, hard work or good execution (the word "or" means I'm only looking for one, I'm not some american idol judge). Since you haven't posted any work I can't say anything about the last two, but I can say that so far, I can't sense the uniqueness or originality from what you have posted. So I do admit, I have a bias against posts like that, sadly. No offense meant (if any was taken), except for the part about defying you.

I'm POSITIVE that he's trying to copy my map. He has been banned from my forum several times, he constantly asks me questions about the map that nobody else wants to know or needs to know, and he has attempted to copy from my other maps as well, only to be shut down.

The reason he hasn't posted any information yet... he's waiting for me to post the exact details on my forum so he can copy/paste it here.

OH and its not even a Hero arena. Its an enfos remake. That makes it a Team Survival not a Hero Arena. Nice try, Zero, but its a lame excuse for a rip-off.

ho, boy. Mod controls really need to fixed.

By all accounts it does seem very, very similar. But if he is actually making a hero arena instead than it's not entirely identicle.

Still, it's sad when you see a complete originality in not just modding but gaming in general. If you look at the upcoming ps2 releases, you'll see a dozen urban/thug/gangster games coming out. Just as dota and battleships rip-offs are a dime a dozen in warcraft 3 modding. plenty of night of the dead wannabe maps right now too, mostly unoriginal junk.

Hell, the map I'm working on right now (terra omicron), has obvious similarities to maps like SWAT: Aftermath, but while the basis is there it's no rip-off. I have plenty of non-swat based content, like my own items, vehicle system, triggered abilities, a fairly unique (to this style of map anyways) ability selection system, and other stuff as well.

It's okay to borrow some ideas, but copying is bad!
