Greetings adventurer, I am doing a small project based on a fantasy world called Deregold. First of all this what for I created the thread is for those who wish to follow the process and propably so some nice travelers from afar with experience in triggering wish to help and tell me how to make some triggers work. I have already completed one map that has the triggers almost finished but I will add multiple quests for every map even tho they are small. The demo will include from three to five maps, haven't decided yet but currently one and a half maps are (almost) finished. I may ask for more members to join me in this little project if they have interest and motivation to hear what rolls in my small imagination, but for now feel free to comment and reply for the stuff that I will put here. Current state: Terrain: 20% Triggers: 5% Units: 1% Storyline: 0% Quests: 0% Screenshots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The terraining shown in the first image is pretty good; what is the plot of the story? What is that structure intended to be? |

The storyline will be pretty straight in this demo so you can't decide much. Since perioid of time on what you adventure in the world is far after the dark forces were destroyed and the gods stepped back to their heaven homes, there will not be real main enemy, but because the dark ones existed the seed of evil is allways regrowing. That means new forces are rising, like the rogue Ancients. Ancients are those who were the first dwellers in this world who came from the sea and wrote the future. But those who have left that path now wish to undo their writings and start a new age of their own. So you will face alot those elemental creatures and bandits, pirates and basic monsters and beasts like gnolls and trolls. Structure will be same kind as it is in the orc expansion campaign. There is a "main" map and it will lead to mini-maps. But I think I'll change it a bit so there is no real main map. Just many maps that link to eachother and create the playable area. I'll propably do that 3 to 5 maps. I've terrained two but triggered only one, and still the one triggered is without quests. The quests will lead you around the maps so you will have to travel a bit. I wish I could get the attachment system to it so the units would not have weapons already, instead they would've to buy them. That of course looks crappy when you are wearing armor parts so I don't really know. We'll see. Also the way that you don't really choose your class, but instead you start as a normal adventurer and then you buy the kind weapon you wish and that way you can train different skills, so you kind of build the "class" yourself. I ripped that arthas from one BNet RPG. I think it can be found in wc3sear.ch as well. |

Actually, I think a triggerer could do. I'll try to find someone around by spamming topics everywhere. |

Nah, you just have to model each type of armor for the unit, then have an if/then/else to use the correct model for the correct unit-type. However you need basic modeling skills (Oinkerinkle's tools would work fine) in order to do that. |

armour pants = impossible you can only assign attachments to 1 bone, thus making it impossible to bend knees, etc. and if u were to divide the pants into different models each one for each leg bone, then it would look really bad, coz they wouldn't be conencted. The only ways to that is a) make 1 attachment model for each animation, so you might have Pantwalk.mdx, pantstand.mdx, etc. then change the attachment according to the current anim of the unit b) make different models using different skins and just replaced the unit types |
