Base Abilities question

Hi. I'm trying to have a trigger based ability, but i need to place a buff on the target. The problem is if i use something generic like curse or drunken haze, and another ability uses those, it will override the buff. Basically, is there a ability that lets me place buffs that scale, meaning i can use that same base for other spells.

Thanks in advance.

Tim.
Yep, use 'Channel.' It allows you to change the IDs so you can use it for the base of multiple spells.

Yes, in terms of orderstrings. Not in terms of buffs, Channel doesn't have the ability to place buffs on units. While it is designed to be the be-all-end-all base spell for triggered spells, it lacks buffing support. There's no way to get a buff on a unit other than with a spell based on one of the buffing spells, which there is a finite ammount of, and some of them even have effects that can't be removed to make them a dummy buff (like invisibility, for example). So, you can't have more buff spells in your map than there already are buff spels in warcraft, without getting the buff conflict.

Thanks for the response. That sucks though :( I hope they fix channel in the next patch, thats very limiting.
