Hey guys. I've been working on a campaign trilogy VERY heavily based on storyline. It's been going rather slow, as there's only me working on it (and occasionally one other friend) and I have to juggle it between school, social life and other lazing around type activities. To put it bluntly, I'd like a campaign team to help make this. Please read what I've got, and if you're interested post here or give me an email at [email protected] . The trilogy's called the Chaos Trilogy, because the key item crucial to the heroes' quest is Chaos. Chaos makes up everything- space, time, matter. In it's incredibly rare pure form, where it hasn't formed anything, anyone with a strong mind can meld it into whatever they desire. This makes it very deadly. Now, the following story is quite long, but this is the shortened version :P The trilogy itself starts at the Universe's creation. If you're interested and give me an email, the prologue will be one of the files I send you. I can't exactly post it here, it's 2 A4 pages long and not yet finished :P Let's just say the Gods created the Universe to give their existance meaning, and guided their patron species down the paths of their chosen god. But one god, Mor'dan, desired more. He took a material form and descended to live among his people, wherever they were in the Universe. Perhaps he was tainted by the material universe, but as time went on, his enormous hungers that his godly body forced upon him could not be satiated, and it drove him mad. The other Gods rejected Mor'dan, and in his madness he warped his chosen species into an army of evil to wage war upon the rest of the universe. The rest of the gods united, and Mor'dan's physical form imploded upon itself at the height of battle. The resultant explosion tore the universe apart, nearly totally extinguising the feeble flame of life. Only a spirit of pure evil and malice, it's power near boundless, remained. Should it's survival continue, the Universe and the gods themselves would be doomed. Even the combined might of all the gods of the universe was not enough to destroy Mor'dan, but they were able to lock him away in an alternate dimension until the end of time... The two dimensions (the Warcraft one and Mor'dan's one) were kept separate by a cipher of unimaginable scale. 3 worlds were the keys to the lock, each bearing a hidden temple with an artefact in it. Upon teh removal of said artefact, the lock holding Mor'dan back is weakened. This brings us to the first campaign of the trilogy- Doom's Conquest. After Archimonde's defeat at Mount Hyjal, the Burning Legion fell into disarray. While Kil'Jaeden still held control over most of the Legion, powerful demons known as Demon Lords arose, controlling various demonic legions. In a bid to gain power, the Demon Lords are constantly warring with each other, capturing the defeated's armies and thus increasing their strength. The most powerful Demon Lords were the Demon Princes, and at the time there are 2 such Demon Princes- Doom and Blackheart. Blackheart's another matter at the moment, you'll learn about his role if you take interest and email me. Anyways, it seems that Mor'dan is able to control and influence Doom (unbeknownst to him until the end of the campaign) to an extent, using his personal desires to weaken the dimensional cipher. 2 of the worlds have already been destroyed, and the third is all that remains. That world just so happens to be Azeroth :P Now the populace of Azeroth remain ignorant in that the Burning Legion is heading for them once again, and a group of 5 Heroes is all that can save the universe... Done! In a nutshell at least... Again, if you're interested, post here and leave your email address or email me at [email protected]. If possible, i'm looking for... * A trigger worker (with knowledge of JASS if at all possible) * A modeller (just for that extra flair) * Someone who can record new dialogue sounds (if possible again) * Opinions! I need to know things, like if my storyline works, if my abilities are balanced, if my terrain looks nice... and so on. If you have a talent, why not give it a go? I've been keeping this project alive for a long time now, and I have great hopes for it. Hope to see you on the team! |

o_O You seem like a man (woman/boy/girl) after mine own heart. I'm extremely interested in helping. Your storyline seems well thought-out and all that, though for me it's a bit hazy how it meshes with the creation of the universe and all that in the beginning of the storyline on the WoW site. Can you define the role of Chaos a little more closely? Is it at all linked with Mor'dan's encased spirit/destroyed body? I can do triggers well, though not JASS. I'm good with opinions and ideas, it's my speciality. I also am something of a writer, so I can help write storylines and develop characters and plots. I'm currently WIP on an enormous fantasy story. EDIT: Egads! [email protected] I'll drop you a line on your email, too. |

Sweet, i'd be happy to use your help. And for future reference, it's EggMAN2002 :P Chaos... it makes up everything. If we were in here we'd be made up of chaos. The desk your computer sits on is made from chaos. Your... well, you get the idea. Everything's made from Chaos. Everything. Matter, space and time. But if it's made into something, it's impure, imperfect. It has it's form, and there's nothing we can do about it. However, can exist in alternate universes in it's pure form. It could appear as a glowing rock or a burning flame, and a strong mind can forge it into anything necessary. This makes it very powerful. Basically, in this campaign, if you have chaos, you're gunna kick some serious butt. In fact, there are some abilities that can only be used with Chaos. You can go up to level 20. You have your 3 basic abilities that go from level 1 to level 4, a 2 level ultimate ability (level 2 can be learned at level 12), a 5 level basic stat increasing ability (like the Orc Campaign), and a Chaos ability that can be used at level 20. This requires the character to be holding Chaos. An example could be Shadowbane's Chaotic Illusion. He's of the Shadow Element. So what this does is create 4 mirror images of Shadowfury that do real damage but can't cast spells. This will be powerful because their stats will be very high. They're level 20, and their stats are more poweful than most because they'll have to take on armies in groups of 2's and 3's- 5 heroes at once is a bit hard to wield. |

If you need someone to conduct dialogue lines, or some to voice act for one of your characters, then I'm a go. |

Sweet. I could seriously use some custom sounds and dialogue. Got an email address? When i'm done reworking the storyline of the campaign i'll send it to you both. I've been a bit busy recently though, and I may not get time until the weekend to actually start the thing.. |

I got it on the Chaos. You should get a custom model for it, perhaps something looking a bit like glowing, various-colored orbs orbiting, contracting and then expanding around a centerpoint. (Lol, if anyone will do that.) I think a Blizz model would ruin it entirely :p |

Chaos is an item, remember, so what we'll be doing is creating a new item model. Whatever we do with it (your idea's fairly cool) i've decided long ago that it has to have a blue flame on it. That's also the effect it gives the wielder when it has it too- a blue flame (nothing too big or fanciful) on one of their hands. |

By the way, campaign storyline's going quite slowly. I'm going to work on it now seeing I haven't had any opportunity beforehand, and i'm going out tomorrow so there won't be much time then eithr. I'll do what I can though, and it'll get done soon enough. |

Heh. Is it at all due to me finding that error with the synchronization with the Warcraft universe origin? Send me any updates when you get a chance, plz. I want to pick them over, lol. EDIT: Oh, and about the Chaos thing. Here's a visualization. You know the animation of the portal when it is created, you know, the purple one with the little diamonds around it. Well, when it's created the diamonds expand out from a centerpoint, spin around a bit, and then the portal forms between them. My idea is something like that initial expansion, only 3-dimensional (the diamonds expand outward in a circle, not a sphere), and once they expand beyond a certain point they recontract in a similar fashion. Instead of purple diamonds you could use little blue flames/firey spheres (IE similar to the Sphere effect above the Blood Mage, or more like the bloodlust effect--the difference is with the first one, all the fire goes up, whereas with the second one it goes in all directions). Also the expansion/contraction would not be uniform, but randomized. |

I couldn't find the WoW universe creation thing, but I did rewrite what I had... it's all in the prequel. I'm writing up Doom's Conquest now, but it's taking a while because I don't have much time for it. I'll have to see about Chaos. It's taken a slightly less important role now- Doom needs it to control/absorb Mor'dan but that's all- it doesn't get much involvedwhere else in the trilogy. That's why I think it's time for a rename, especially with the introduction of the Book of Prophecies which, btw, will only be used in the first campaign. The only real constant is Mor'dan and his spreading darkness. Each campaign he gets more powerful, and each campaign the world descends further into the darkness... |

Lol, okey-dokey. |

Wow... sounds like you've got one hell of an idea here. I'd really like to see this completed. So I'm offering my help in any way I can, I know how to trigger and I can do a decent amount of JASS depending on what it involves. I've also done every bit of map creation around, including some basic modeling which didn't turn out half bad. So if your still looking for help send me an e-mail: [email protected] |

I'd be happy to have your help. Give me 2 weeks and i'll be back into it- i'm in one of those work overload phases at school, there's little time for anything... I'll send you the prequel, as that's all i've got published so far. If you want to know a little more, email Tooolbox as i've told him a bit. |

All right, I guess we'll talk again in two weeks then. I definetely liked the storyline though and it got me interested. :) |
