I want to make the Mountain king , be always in avatar "mode".
Coz i want to make a Azer hero (for all those who dont play d&d , its a metallic dwarf wiht fire instead of hair)
So the avatar model, is jsut what i need.

How can i do that??

Theres no such thing as a stupid question when your learning to map make, first off.

IF you notice, try putting avatar on a different hero, all it does is its changing the size of the unit and adding +500 hp etc.

But its not the MODEL its the SKIN...

No it is not. It is the model's alternate animation. If you want to use the alternate form as the base model, set these values.

Hm...can you grey-out a character with vertex coloring?...

Grey out? You mean make them appear solid grey? Yes. Do you mean semi-transparent? Yes.

Thanks that was very helpful.

Id like to know more about how to change the Skin of the models, or some of the colors, etc.

I study programming and i understand quite well the mechanics of the editor and the game, yet i dont know the functions to call in custom scripts, or what some values change. If someone could tell me where to find a tutorial about that id be quite thankful

The tutorial section explains how to reskin models, as well as how to create models. http://www.wc3jass.com The JASS vault has many JASS tutorials, read them.
