Heya. Im new here and I have a small problem with importing my own models to WC3/FT. I followed a tutorial which explained all the basic stuff how to model/texture and how to convert it to a right format, and everything worked out fine to the point when I started the game itself. For some reason my custom unit model doesn't show in the game itself, but in World Editor it shows up just as it is supposed to. Animation works, texture works, but it doesn't show in the game when I start it. The only thing I see is the units shadow, and I can select in but it's invisible and I need to know why? Some extra info about the model: It is just a simple über-low-poly thingy with a small animation. It has only one geo... -thing, or group of polys, whatever, and only one texture. Because I didnt quite understand how the setup all those teamcolors etc, I left it be with only one texture. In Editor's Import Manager I have two files showing: MyModel.mdx and MyTexture.blp. They both have custom "exact" paths ("F:\Folder\MyModel.mdx" and "F:\Folder\MyModel.blp"), and every time I try to save my map I get an error message saying that a some file couldnt be written (I remember it was something like: "C:Program FilesBlizzardMapsMyMap Temp\F:Folder...." on a single line). Even though that error message appears, it still saves the map succesfully and I can play it. But the model I just imported doesnt show right in the game. So please somebody help me with this. If you need more info, I try to help YOU the best I can. And as I said before, the model shows correctly in the Editor but not in the game itself. YOUR HELP IS HIGLY APPRECIATED! |
