Sigh... Ive been making maps for a LONG LONG TIME!! Every C&C game every AOE game.. but some things about this editor still confuse me... sad considering how user friendly this editor is... but anywho enough of my rambling To the point.. How do i place Doodads.. on other doodads? I checked the tutorial section but what was suggested wasnt what im looking for... Im wodering how to do something like in the Campaign... for example: That map where Kael is broke out of prison by the Naga, theres that one room with the giant golem.. Theres a whole bunch of stuff sprawled out.. But what i want to know is... How did they get the building on the table? and the other stuff... For example: i want to make a shop in my map and some of the things for sale i want to display on top of a table(s)Could you tell this was my first post on this forum? Sorry about the lenght... Ok.. See ya all later on Bnet (always on Azeroth as Dro_Zzhat) |

Doodads with pathing maps normaly cannot be placed so that their pathing maps overlap. You can avoid this by holding shift while pacing them, in that case their pathing maps can overlap, however, you still can't place them directly on the same spot. However,w ith small doodads, you don't need them to have a pathing map, like grass or other small stuff, and these kind of doodads can be placed freely (they don't have to be on grid). To put a doodad on another doodad, you have to change it's height. You do that by pressing ctrl+pageup or ctrl+pagedown while having the doodad(s) selected in the editor. |
