Right guys, this is important so be sure you understand this before you make a request, or I'll rain hell down upon you j/k, these are just some guidelines that I think will encourage people to work on mods and maps.People are afraid to compose music for a project that might not be completed, so unless your mod has reached around 90% completion (excluding voice acting, sound effects and music of course) then there really isn't much point requesting people. The exception to this is if you're planning on releasing a demo map. This is obviously less work for composers as they will only have to write one or two tracks, but also it reduces the risk of their piece not being used. Again, you should not request a composer until the demo has reached around 90% completion. Multiplayer maps should not be without music in my oppinion, and I encourage mappers to seek out composers willing to create short songs that will loop continously. These will enhance the maps and also give our composers an oppertunity to demonstrate their skills. As I've already stated, these are just guidelines and feel free to post whatever you want in the form of requests, I only hope to encourage more music to make its way into mods and maps. Thanks for your time Challis |
