Thread moved. Regarding the site, after browsing it for some time, I still didn't find any description about what kind of map this actually is. Even if there is such a descriptions somewhere amongst all those forums, it would be nice if you included it in your post here as well. Also, the falling snowflakes cause havoc on my browser, whenever a page is small enough not to require a scroll bar (which is the case with most of the forums), the scroll bar keeps appearing whenever a snowflake hits the bottom of the screen, causing the whole screen to flicker. Not nice. I can't really comment on the map itself, all I saw was some screenshots, which told me nothing about how it's played. |

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no. EDIT: Good joke with the FAQ btw. Quote:
Incase you not aware AOS (and, nowadays, DOTA) are genre's of map. In other words you basically said: "This book is fiction, something like a murder mystery, but is not a murder mystery". Great help that. Infact the "FAQ" tells me nothing. But i'll take a stab anyway. It's a generic Aeon of Strife. If you want people to *care* about your map you're going to have to actually cough up some information. |

"Fast Phase Offensive game-play". That should describe all. -Own quest -Custom Spells -Capture Flag or Destroy Base to win -Items -Similiar more to AoS What do you want to know more about the map? Tell me. And here are some good and bad comments about the map: (Its still a close beta map though) http://www.leospirit.net/bocpforum/viewtopic.php?t=52 Spells screenshots: http://www.leospirit.net/bocpforum/viewtopic.php?t=20 Etc Screenshots: http://www.leospirit.net/bocpforum/viewtopic.php?t=58 |

Feedback from the forum seems to be good, actual work seems to have been done on the map, all seems to be fine, but I have to agree with Anitarf and BBDino. For example, what can you tell about the map I'm trying to describe (based on an actual map of another name, so I'm not describing anything fictional). Hi everyone. I'm creating a map called "Class of the Dead". It is a survival type game. It features: - Custom Cameras - Awesome environments - Fast paced gameplay - Teamwork and skill is required - Custom spells - Units which you can kill People say it is a very good map. Perhaps it is an excellent map. However, to those who have not yet played the map, they still have no idea why we should play it. Granted, you do give more information than what you've given here, about buying spells, that you don't see in every AoS, as with quests, and the CTF mix. However, other than different heroes, is there anything unique, anything that will make the map stand out? When people describe their maps, they first point out what stands out most, what differentiates their map. I'm not saying that every map needs to have a unique system to be good, if your map is just a generic AoS with really fun heroes, I reckon it won't be too bad, if it's really fun. However, if the most unique features of the map are that there are quests (which affect gameplay... how?), bought spells (which affect gameplay... how again?), and items (I know it's mean to say this, but HOW MANY MAPS DON'T HAVE ITEMS? I mean, we see "custom spells" and the like appearing once in a while, but this is the first time I've seen someone go "LOOK MY MAP HAS ITEMS"). Unlike Anitarf, I have a tendency to drag my points... so what I wanted to say was: 1) Tell us how it's different. You can give us every single spell screenshot in the world and we won't know how those are different (unless those screenshots look really pretty and have dead giveaway names like "Summon a Chair for you to sit on"). Now after you tell us how it's different, tell us how this difference makes a change, or how this system works. E.g. "the quest system gives you quests that reward you for doing a particular task to harm the opponent, such as assasinating an enemy hero, allowing players a choice of whether to embark on quests for rewards, or use their time for more efficient tasks, and even bringing the team together to fulfill an objective and giving them an incentive to do so." 2) Tell us what it's doing here. You seem secretive about the map, the map isn't radically different (from what we know), so what is it doing here? It's not looking for feedback, it's not describing any new idea, neither is it providing a map for us to admire. If you ask me, it's advertisement o.o which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't re-direct us to somewhere else. P.s. I use firefox, the snowflakes work fine, if you ask me they fit really nicely into the layout. P.s.s. Your map features items!!!!!! I had to repeat that :D |
