Recently started work on part Two, (Check out Part one, in my Sig.)
One of the things people moaned about in Part One was the terrain. I thought it was quite good myself, but I've tried to make the terrain for Part Two even better. Take a look!

What do you think?

Finally! some realistic sizing! except for the torches

If you could resize the torches down using a model editor to something more realistic, I'd be in your debt.
I know I COULD shrink them with the Worldeditor, but I want to have characters holding them later on, and you can't resize models you're attaching to units like that.

Oh, and you could perhaps check out my animations request in the Animation/Modelling forum..

I could resize the torch without any problems. But the animation request.. nothx, I kinda suck at renaming bones and stuff :P ill have the torch here in a sec.

edit: here it is. I didnt only scale it down, I also make it.. not really ugly to look at when moving and I changed light intensity and color (gives of a cool yellow color not, not the ugly white).

I can't see much terrain because of the darkness, but The doodad useage looks good. I look forward too seeing some more terrain from you.

I like it, but I also stick with others' opinions about the torches.

From what I see, it looks good. You could use a bit more tile variation on the outside, and I see an overlapping wall on the far end of the first pic, that's one of my biggest pet peeves. Apart from that, the scaling looks good, and you might want to try an irongate instead of the elven one.

Hmmm, you could be right. Or possibly a City Entrance.
Thanks a load Inf. That'll be very helpful.

little more tile variation on exterior, put dirt on the edges of the road, I really like the enviroment. Its very mood setting. Only thing else I really see is those torches need to have something done to em, and around the gate foundations, put some decor, such as some small wall ends or something.

Needs less flatness and blandness on second screenshot. Also, can I have the custom sky? :)

I'm going for realistic terrain, and sometimes the ground IS just flat and boring.
That shot looks a lot better in the actual cinematic anyway.
However, since I know you by reputation, I may add another rock or two nearer the center of the screen...
Oh, the torches have been replaced with Infrane's scaled down models, and look fabulous.

Oh, and [Death], much as I am ashamed to admit it (not very), the custom sky is from The Creatures Of The Night, act IV part II, so you can just extract it yourself.
Hey, DaemonKillar has retired...

But very seldom entirely so, this isn't astro-turf.

Also, you say you want realistic scaling? The stones of the road are larger than the soldiers

Holland is 99% flat tho.. I've never seen high mountains in my entire life (besides the two times I went skying)

Yeah, but I do have to work with the limitations of the engine! I think you could cut me some slack...
