I'm trying to keep this as basic as possible. I dont want to have to use several different tools if i can avoid it. is there a one do-it-all program that would allow me to draw a simple icon up, save it.. and it's all ready to import as is without anything else special needing to be done? I've never made an icon before. for now i need a simple black icon. one shade of black.. like black32. but only difference is.. i need to make a 'disabled' version of the black32 because when i use black32 for a spell with a cooldown on it, it fades to a green icon.. so that means i need to import my own with a regular and disabled version. thanks. |

I dunno a tool that could do thiings so directly as you wanted. But you could use black32 also as disabled, export it with Wc3 image extractor which can be found on Wc3sear.ch tools section. Then import it to your map with ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISblack32.blp. |

photoshop is by far the best, although it can't save as blp. No digital imaging program can export to blp, you must use that image extractor thingy to import the tga/jpeg and export it to blp. Or, if you want something free, try Open Canvas. I forgot the link, but give it a search on google. |

As he said, there are NO programs at the moment that save as a .blp (which for anyone who is confused is the file format for pictures [such as icons] used in wc3, and it stands for BLizard Picture |
