Hosted Projects

As ive noticed, the hosted projects that are currently hosted are not having very active forums. This could be due to 2 reasons as I see it:
a) the project is inactive.
b) the forums are all the way at the bottom.

I think mostly b is the reason. Perhaps giving them a more suitable location in the forum order would help the projects get more attention.

Well, maybe not entirely to the top.. I dont really know, but under the finished projects isnt a good idea :)

yeah, that makes sense to have the "development stuff", like the regular forums and the unfinished project forums, to be together with finished stuff at the bottom, or perhaps a link along the top to a seperate page just for the finished projects.

Anarki why did you say 'yeah' ? cause both statements (yours and INfrane's ) seem quite different and contradictory in fact.


I would actually move finished projects to the bottom

I think there are much simpler reasons.

1. It's been Christmas. - I haven't even been on a computer for 6 days.
2. 3 of the 4 projects have been 'revived' since the dark days of this site. Give them some time to consolidate themselves.

They weren't that active b4 draco closed them either.

well people regularily post in the other forums, they won't quit posting just coz it's a bit down, but hosted projects are new, they need some exposure before people can become accustomed to posting there.

Considering two have just announced they have been revived, that's hard to see.

well I dont think we're gonna have all old projects are we? Some new good ones no ones heard of are gonna come along and they need some attention

They'll get thier attention from homepage announcments as well as thier location on the forum index. Anyway, we have moved the Completed Projects below Hosted Projects.

Why don't you make a forum with all hosted projects.

That would deter from posting rather than encourage it. The system we use now is acceptable.
