well just wondering if downloading enchanted editors like WE Unlimited are worth it? (will the map be able to run on people that dont have enchanted editors? can enchanted edtiors run already existing maps? do you use it?)

Other editors can run normal maps fine. But when you enhance a map with, for example, WEU, you can't open it if you don't have WEU. But everybody can play it.

Seeing this is posted in the terraining forum, they're definitely worth it.
That is because the terrain extras they add (steep hills, extra tiles) still work if you open the map with the standard editor later.
So you can at least add those goodies and then continue your work with the standard editor.

I agree with PitzerMike completely.
One of the best features in my opinion is that you can add multiple imported items to the map and import icons easily.

Only good thing about WEU is the terrain features, else I dont use it for anything.

Enables new triggers, linking region and some other triggery stuff.

The unlimited extra height feature is awesome for terraining (No offense blizzard, maybe yes, but Cliffs suck), but you can always just use a custom txt file instead of an Editor that works

That's what I normally do unless I need the WEU for somthing (Never have) or if I'm too lazy to open WinMPQ. Anyway, yes, WEU and such are great for terrainers, however WEU is impractical for online play (in some cases). UMSWE is better suited for online games.

Agreed. I consider the 16 tiles that WEU can add the biggest advantage over UMSWE and the MiscData.txt method.

I use my custom editor that has all WEU / Umswe functions but marked with UMSWE or WEU categories, allows global variables of any type and the terrain height I use it so I can open any map
