WEU Corrupting my map?!

it appears that just by adding in a few tiles to the terrain pallet, WEU has corrupted my map... ive only created a few doodads, destructables, and done a big ammount of terraining... any way to save tis work? :-/ (none of te new tiles have been placed anywere) and i have tried exporting all the relivent data using WEU, then importing it into a fresh, un-toutced map. CRASH!

WEU makes a backup before saving the chanes to a map. It's called MapName.bak

yeah, and i edited the map 2wice before trying it in WE... so the good backup got overwritten wit a corrupt one :-\ overwriting backups FTL.

Try creating a blank map with the same size and tileset.
Then open the corrupted one with WinMPQ, extract war3map.w3e and war3map.doo.
Open the blank map with WinMPQ, delete the (attributes) file, import the other 2 files and see if that helps.

First off don't blame WEU, it clearly says "Use at your own risk" , kiddn

If you can't open the corrupted map in WinMPQ, say bye to your map.
